To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that we,J. S. BURCH and J. O. BURCH, of the city of Bualo, county of Erie, in the State of New York, have invented a new and improved .Window-Curtain Holder; and we do hereby declare that the following is a full and exact. descliption thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, and to the letters of reference marked thereon.
The nature of our invention consists is applying two elastic rollers, a tape or cord being impinged between said rollers, so that the rollers, in combination with a tape or cord, and the roller of a wiiulow-curtain, may sustain the cuitain in any position'desired.

A represents the window-curtain roller.
The same is provided with a curtain in the usual way, also wit-l1 a tape, B, which is secured with one end to said roller, as plainly seen in the drawing, while the other end runs down in between and through rollers C C.
Said rollers C C are covered with gum-elastic, or
othel suitable material, for the purpose of impinging upon B.
The tape or cord is to be wound onv in contrary direction to the curtain, so that if the tape or oord is pulled down, the curtain will be wound up, and that if the curtain is pulled down, the tape or cord will be wound up. A
It will be observed that only one motion can be obtained by the working of the tape-the winding up ofV the curtain.

Having thus described our invention, What we desire to secure by Letters Patent, islhe combination of the elastic rollers O C with tape or cord B and curtain-roller A, when constructed and operated as and for the use and purpose set forth.
