I
:im also thus able to provide a simple and efficient means of if'aporlzing,` superhezitlng, and
igniting the fuel, all within the combustion chamber of the engine, thus greatly simplifyingl the apparatus required and producing a novel device having' a novel inode of operation, and a highly eliicient motor adapted to operate with al great variety of liquid fuels.
What I claim is1- l. An internal combustion engine, eemprising a combustion chamber, a body insorted in said chamber having a heating` chamber open at the outer end, a vaporizinfil chamberi'iear the middle, and a front end having numerous small perforations, und means for periodicallyinjecting oil intothe vaporizinr chamber.
2. An internal vcombustion engine7 comprising` a combustion chamber, a cylindrical body inserted in said chamber, said body havingl a chamber open at the outer end and @more provided with. a longitudinal partition and :i transverse partition spaced :rpm-i, a middle vaporizing chamber,y end a 'forward ond huving numerous small perforations; and means for periodically injecting oil into Said yvaporizing ehamlier.
3. An internal combustion engine, com-l prising a combustion chamber, e cylind rieal body :erred in said ehmnber, said body being open at the rear and provided With a horizonal and a transverse partition spaced apart and also havingi ay middle vaporizing'A chamber and a thick forward end )Vierforaied with numerous small passages of greater length 'than diameter; and means for peri odically injecting oil into thc vapor-innig enamher.
Il. In an infernal eomhustion engine having a combustion chamber means Jfor vaporizing lliquid fuel, and means lor superheating the resulting vapor, coneistin ol a heated body projecting into the combustion chamber having numerous small :1nd elongaed passages;whereby the vapor is superhealed in passing ihereihrougjh and also dis-v charged in numerous small jets info ihe said combustion ehember.
In testimony whereof I aiiix my signature in presence of two Wiinesses.
