Be it known that I, Josnrrr H. MANON, a citizen of the United States, residing at.St. Joseph, in the county ofBuchanan and State of Missouri, have invented certain new and useful'lmprovements in Refrigerator, of

vhich the followingis a specification.

The object of my. invention is to provide a refrigerator having a-scale mechanism by which thecustomer is shown, exactly the Weight of the ice he receives at each delivery thus enabling the customer to secure the full I amount of ice for which he pays. 3

I is an adjustment rod connected with a worm gear I at its inner end, its outer end I serving as a thumb screw to gage the tension of spring H, thus showing the Weight .of the load carried on platform B before a new supply of ice is added. The exact amount of the new supply of ice which is added is'thus shown. Y

J is a rod connectedat its inner end with worm gear J; which rod is propelled by straight rack K, which is supported by .guides F F.

L L are supports for platform B.

M is a cross bar serving as a support for cog wheel J; it is connected'to guide support F by means of bolts f f at either end.

0 is a water cooler of galvanized iron, or any suitable metal, which is removable similarly to a desk drawer; the object in its being removable is to allow a convenient way for filling the same with Water.
