\ To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, OLOF N. HILDETON, a citizen of the United States, residing at Lafayette, in the countyof Nicollet and State of Minnesota, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Extensible Bat-h Apparatus; and I do hereby declare the following to 'be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters and figures of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification.

This invention relates to new and useful improvements in bathing apparatus and comprises a simple and eflicient mechanism of this nature so arranged as to be conven-' 3 is a sectional "view vertically and centrally through Fig. 2. Reference now being had to the details of the drawings by letter, A designates the lower section of the cabinet and B the upper section which telescopes within the section A when not in use, the apparatus having the appearance as shown in Fig. 1. W'hen extended, the upper section is held in the positions shown in Figs. 2 and 8 through the medium of the screws 0 which pass through the plate D and engage threaded openings.

the former of which has a sliding door E which is guided by the angle bar E projecting from the outer face of the section A. The door E is provided with an opening E for the admission ofair and also the opening serves as a handle whereby the door may be moved horizontally back and forth. The door E it will be noted, is mounted outside of the section A and a similar sliding door, designated by letter F, is mounted within the upper section and serves as a closure for the opening E and is provided with an aperture F, serving both as a handle and also as a means .whereby air may 'be introduced into the cabinet. The door F, it will be noted, is guided in itssliding movements by the angled bars H at the bottom and its upper'end is provided with hooks I which engage over the bar J.

An extensible curtain supporting rod, designated by letter L,is mounted to have a play through the eyes L upon the cabinet whereby it'may be pushed back when not in use and is braced by the rods N. By the employment of the curtain, a closure may be formed whereby the person taking a bath may have a space within which to be shielded when dressing.

Mounted within the upper section are the two tanks, designated respectively by letters 0 and P, the former of which is adapted to serve as a hot water tank and the latter to contain cold water. The two tanks are connected with the pipes R alsowith pipes R, the former of which are connected to a shell R which has a nozzle R connected thereto and two valves within the casings R and regulated by the hand wheels R". A hose pipe Q also communicates with the shell R and has a nozzle Q connected thereto. The pipe R has connected thereto an air pump M whereby any suitable pressure of air may be maintained upon the water within the hot and cold water tanks.

Underneath the hot water tank is placed a heater of any suitable kind, designated by letter G, and mounted upon a bracket supporting member G which is fastened to the wall of the upper section of the apparatus, and a window T is formed in the upper section and a stool T in the lower one.

Referring to Figs. 4 and 5 of the drawings will be noted a plate W which is apertured as at W for the reception of bolts whereby the same may be fastened to the wall of the upper section. Said plate, a section of which is shown in Fig. 5, it will be noted has angled flanges WV over the edges of which the hooked ends of the clamping plates X engage, being held in clamping re- Y, shown in Fig. 4 of the drawings, in such positions that their angled ends Y will grip the handle Z.

By the provision of an apparatus embodying the features of my invention, it will be noted that a simple and eflicient mechanism is afiorded whereby, when not in use, the same may be reduced to a compact form having the appearance of an ordinary bureau with mock drawers while, when opened up for use, would have the appearance shown in Fig. 2. The person taking the bath may sit u on the stool within the lower section of t e cabinet and have a shower bath, the temperature being regulated by the admission of water from the hot and cold tanks, while atmospheric air may be breathed through the respirator.

By the provision of the brush holder, means is aiforded whereby the back of the person taking the bath may be rubbed, the doors in the cabinet being at all times free to be operated by the person within taking the bath.

What I claim to be new is 1. A collapsible bath apparatus comprising two sections adapted to telesco e one within the other, means for holding t e sections extended, each section having a door opening, a sliding door serving as a closure for each opening, tanks withm the upper section, pipes communicating with the OLOF N.
