The invention consists in the application of a blade, A, whichis sunk into a recess formed at the back and lost by careless persons, and still permits its removal when desired. The recess in the counter may be lined by a metallic box, B, as shown.

I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent As an improved article of manufacture, a combined yard-mark and cutter, made and operating substantially as herein shown and described.
