Be it know n that I, FELIX WALKER, of New Orleans, in the parish of Orleans, and in the State of Louisiana, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Sash-Fastener and do hereby declare that the following. is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, reference being had 'to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters of reference marked thereon.

The nature of my invention consists in the construction 'of a sash-fastener, which is simple and durable, andi'cannot be thrown out of korder by any jarring, as the more pressure downward there is onthe sash, the tighter the fastener holds it up.

In order to enable others skilled in the art to which my invention appeitains, to make and use the same, I will now proceed to describe its construction and operation, referring to the annexed drawings, which form a part ofthis speciiicatiozn and in which- Figure 1 is a front elevation of a Window-casing with the fastener attached, and

Figure 2 is aperspective view of the fastener.

A represents a window-casing, and

B, the sash.

At one side of the sash B is secured an angular bar,v C, between which, and the sashfthe fastener D is pivoted.

Thel fastener D is cam-shaped at one end, and forms a projecting handle at the other, and'may be of' any size desired, so that, when pivoted in its place, the handleend of the same is heavier than the other, bringing the cam-shaped side against the casing.
