ALBERT KRAUTH, OF HAMILTON, OHIO.
MUSIC-STAND.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 763,004, dated June 21, 1904.
Application filed March 8, 1904. Serial No. 197,192. (No model.)
1'0 aZZ whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, ALBERT KRAUTII, a citizen of the United States, residing at Hamilton, in the county of Butler and State of Ohio, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Music-Stands, of which the following is a specification.
My invention relates to a music-stand, the object being to cheapen the cost of manufacturing a supporting-stand and to add to the neatness of the appearance and the strength of the device.
The features of my invention are more fully set forth in the description of the accompanyiny drawings, forming a part of this specification, in which Figure l is a perspective view of the rack and upper portion of the stand. Fig. 2 is a central vertical section through the upper end of the supporting-tube. Fig. 3 is a section on line w m, Fig. 2.
A represents the music-rack, having the supporting-stem B. This supporting-stem is a flat metallic strip.
O represents the supporting-tube. D represents a second tube telescoping into tube C. The compressing of the end of the tube into the substantially rectangular portion E forms the shoulders F at the juncture of the rectangular and tubular portion of the support, upon which the shoulders seats the end of the rectangular stem B.
Having described my invention, I claim In a music-stand, a tubular support, the upper end of which is compressed into substantially rectangular shape, forming shoulders at the juncture of the rectangular and tubular portion, a music-rack, and a substantially rectangular stern for said rack, fitting into the rectangular portion of the support and seating upon the said shoulders, substantially as described.
set
In testimony whereof I have hereunto my hand.
ALBERT KRAUTH. Witnesses:
