A cross-rod, m, connects the two fnlcrum-braces, thereby conferring stincss to them. vBrace-rods il also assiette render them more secure in their position. vThe position of the driver -on the seat-D enables'him'to operate the lifting-levers atwill, by pressing upon them with his feet.

This plough' is cheap, durable, ,and has been proven by practical trials to be superior to those -gang-plougbs heretofore made, in several important particulars. v

I am aware that gang-ploughs capable of being lifted by the driver have been made, and do not claim the lifting of such ploughs broadly.
