IMPROVED WIRE DISH-STAND.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: g

Be it known that we, EDWARD P. WOODS and VDANIEL SuEnwo'oD, of Lowell, in the county of Middlesex, and State of Massachusetts, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Wire Dish-Stands; and we do 'hereby declare the following to bea full, clear, and exact-*description thereof, reference being'had to the accompanying drawings, figures, and letters'of reference thereon, making part of this speci fication,in Which- Figure 1 is a perspective view. s A i' Figures 2 and 8 parts in detail. Prior to the date of our invention we experienced great'diiculty in making and arranging the bars which support and form the base of the stand even and regular, so that the stand when finished would present a uniform appearance, and stand rm und level when in use.

Our invention consists, first, in the' arrangement of' the bars, legs, and',incl incd sides in V-i'orm; second,

in combining with the V-bars the spiral dish, as will be fully set forth hereafter. i

To enable others skilled in the art to make and 4use our invention, we will proceed to describe the construction thereof. i

We take wire of the proper size, and with any suitable mechanical devices form up -thepicces A into the V-shape shown in iig. 2, and with the inclined sides B and legs a. The spiral wire is wound up on a grooved head, the process of making which is fully described ina patent granted to us on the 12th day of'Nvember,' 'i

1867, for said machine. The base-wires are arranged in proper-position, and the V-parts are united by wiring or soldering. They are then laid upon the spiral', and united to the frame by thc interlacing of ne wire around the two, asplainly shown in g. 1. The thicker wires C and D are attached` asshown, for the purpose of giving greater strength to the stand. j

What we claim as our invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is

1. The arrangement of the bars A, provided with the legs aA and inclined sides B, substantially in themanner shown and described, and for the purposes specified.

2. The arrangement of the bars A, as described, in combination with the spiral c, substantially as described, and for the purposes specied. v
