TO ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
Be it known that 1 INNocENT ANTONY BERGRATII, of Nashville, in the county of Davidson, in the State of Tennessee, have invented a new and improved article of Toilet-Po\vde1-; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full and exact description of the material and morlus operand? used in manufacturing the same, reference being had to the accompanying ran material, and the article manufactured therefrom.
The nature of my invention consists in taking the ordinary white clam or muscle-shell, and, if it is not already in a reducible state from the ex ternal action upon it of the elements, subjecting it to the action of heat in a close oven until it becomes easily reducible with a pestle, or otherwise, to a fine and lustrous powder ready for toilet use.
Claim.
What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The manufacture of this particular toilet-powder, and from the material as herein set forth.
