Our invention relates to an improved device for making cigarettes; and the main object of our invention is the provision .of a device adapted to be applied directly to the bag of tobacco which will make a perfect cigarette in a moment and without wasting the tobacco and which will cost but a trifle, thus introducing an article very much needed and desired by smokers of cigarettes.

Figure 1 represents a perspective view of the invention. Fig. 2 represents a central longitudinal sectional view, and Fig. 3 represents a side view of a modified form of'our invention.

In the drawings, A designates a bag or pouch of well-known construction or form, containing tobacco B, and O designates a cylindrical tube, having its inner endD secured in the mouth of the bag by the bag-closing cords or by a band or collar F, closely fitting in an annular groove G of the tube. In the modified form the tube has a slot H to receive the edge of the paper.

From the foregoing description, taken with the drawings, the manner of using our device The tube in normal position is turned down and forms a closure to prevent the tobacco from spilling, and to use the same it is simply necessary to form or shape the wrapper upon the tube by turning or rotating the tube, close the outer end, then draw it out until it is filled sufficiently with tobacco, and the cigarette is completed in a moment.

To smokers. who make their own cigarettes making device adapted to be attached to and detachable from the mouth of said bag or pouch, consisting of the band around which fits the mouth of the bag or pouch, and the cylindrical tube,tobacco-feeder and cigaretteformer swiveled to the band and adapted to feed the tobacco into the cigarette-wrapper which is formed in proper shape on the tube and while being drawn off the tube is filled with tobacco.

2. In combination with a tobacco bag or pouch, the pocket cigarette-making device adapted to be attached in or detached from the mouth of said bag or pouch, consisting of the band around which is connected the mouth of the bag or pouch, and a cylindrical cigarette-former and tobacco-feeder swiveled in the band and having a slit in its side adapted to hold an edge of the cigarettewrapper while being formed on the former and allowing the wrapper to be drawn off as it is filled with the tobacco.

3. A pocket cigarette-making device, consisting of the bag or pouch having means for closing the mouth thereof, a pipe or conduit having at its inner end aflange or collar, a flanged collar surrounding the inner end of the tube and resting upon the flange of the tube or conduit to form a swivel connection for the tube and to receive the mouth of the bag or pouch and form a smooth close joint.
