To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, MAX VOGELGESANG, of Hoboken, in the county of Hudson and State of New Jersey, a citizen of the United States, have invented new and useful Improvements in Apparatus for Throwing Dice, of which the following is a specification.

My invention has reference to improvements in apparatus for throwing dice; and the invention consists of a plate provided with a railing, in combination with an upright standard having a longitudinal channel which opens upon the plate. The dice are thrown through the said channel and roll down upon the plate, so that the use of a dice-box is dispensed with.

In the accompanying drawings, Figure l is a vertical section on line m :0, Fig. 2; and Fig. 2 is a top view of my apparatus for throwing dice.

Similar letters of reference indicate corresponding parts.

A in the drawings represents a plate with an even upper surface, of a circular or any other shape, which maybe covered with cloth or any other suitable material, if desired. The plate is surrounded by a railing a, which is fastened to the rim of the plate and projects over the upper surface of the same. An upright standardB is attached to the plate, preferably near the railing. The standard is provided with a longitudinal channel Z), which is Serial No. 380,730. (No model.)

curved in the lower portion of the standard,

so that the lowerend b of the channel opens upon the upper surface of the plate, as clearly 35 shown in'Fig. 1. The dice are thrown into the channel of the standard and roll down through the same upon the plate, the railing of the latter preventing the dice from rolling off.

The plate, as well as the railing and the standard, may be made of wood or any other suitable material.

My apparatus for throwing dice is very simple, and the use of a dice-box is dispensed 45 with by the same.
