To illustrate the ordinary commercial utility of my novel shaving implement in daily life, a shaving implement constructed in accordance with my invention, of whatever shape or style it may be made, could be utilized to great advantage. For clarification and illustrative purposes I desire to point out the following: Many attempts have been made to produce an injector razor wherein a double edged razor blade could be inserted therein directly from the blade magazine, but none of such attempts have met with any success. It should be borne in mind, that for the purpose of moving a double edged razor blade from the magazine into the razor head, particularly so when such blade is to serve the purpose of expelling the used blade from the head structure, the razor head must be so constructed that when the magazine nger is placed within the finger-slot of the head structure such finger must perform the following function.
First, the lugs for-engaging the cutting edges of the blade must be moved or separated farther apart from each other to an extent whereby the cutting edges of the blade will not touch such lugs While being moved into desired position for shaving purposes.
, Second, the top section forming the razor blade seat and the top portion forming the element for holding the razor blade secured to its seat must be spaced away from each the blade is .010 inch then the space between the front portions of such blade seat and overlying element, when separated from each other, should be about .012 inch, but the space between the remaining portions thereof must be of a lesser degree, so that such portions will hold fric-.
tionally the outgoing blade and engage instantly the incoming blade upon taking its position after having fully ejected the out-going blade.
Third, for the purpose of preventing, or at least minimizing, biting between the incoming blade and the outgoingv blade while such out-going blade is being ejected, it is necessary, as a matter of fact imperative, to provide interlocking means within the razor head-structure engageable with the magazine nger for controlling and holding the spacable members in a stationary position with respect to each other while inserting the blade into such headstructure for shaving purposes. It is the uncontrollable movements of the spaceable parts which permit or facilitates biting between the incoming and `out-going blades during the ejection of such out-going razor blade.
' It can therefore be seen that an injector razor, to be practical and useful in combination with a magazine (having either a single edge razor blade or double edged razor blade) must be built to be able to perform the above-men- None of the injector razors manufactured heretofore are designed for use in connection with both, a single edge razor blade and/ or double edged razor blade. rPhe difference in form of structure between the injector type razor head and the type of razor head for holding a double edged razor blade is tremendous; the average size'in width of an injector razor blade is about one quarter (1A) of an inch whereas the average size in width of a double edged r-azor blade is about seven eighths UA) of an inch, it can therefore be seen that the present type of injector razor is adapted for use only in connection with a single edged injector type razor blade, and that the present type of razors adapted for use in connection with a double edged razor blade can hold only the double edged razor blade; one type of razor must use its own type of razor blade, it can not hold the type of razor blade belonging to the other vtype of razor. This is one of the reasons that attempts heretofore, to'produce a practical and useful injector razor have been unsuccessful.
Whereas an injector razor made in accordance with my invention is designed especially to be yfully applicable for use in connection with either a single edged razor blade and/or in connection with a double edged ,razor blade. Furthermore, the double edged razor blade for use-in connection with my injector razor can be made of the same size in width as that of the width of the single edge injector razor blade, thus resulting in tremendous saving of material. It should be noted that razor blades are made in the many millions annually, and a comparison between the above-mentioned injector blade and double edged blade will clearly show that the amount of material necessary to manufacture two (2) millions of the ordinary type of double-edged razor blades, for use in connection with the present type ordinary razors, would be sufficient to produce seven (7) millions of doubleedged razor blades for use in connection with the razorhead made in accordance with my invention. Such tremendous saving of razor blade material, anually, is of such great importance to the razor blade manufacturer that this in itself would cause my invention, which would be instrumental in procuring such tremendous annual saving of material, to be of great commercial value to the razor manufacturer.

And yalso the fact that the finger of my magazine is shaped, cross-sectionally, to a narrower size downwardly, than that of the size of its upper section, will `aid greatly in positioning the separable members into proper angular alignment with respect to each other for proper ejection of a razor blade therefrom or the insertion of a razor blade therein for shaving purposes.
In addition to the above important feature l also want to point out the following:
The fact that the spaceable members, or parts of the structure of my injector razor, can be easily spaced away from each other, or be completely separated or removed from each other, will greatly facilitate the cleaning operation of such parts, or the adjustment or replacement of same, thereby prolonging the life and use of such injector razor.
There is, therefore, thus produced in accordance with my invention, an injector razor comprising a head structured adapted to be used in connection with either a single edged razor blade and/or with a double edged razor blade of a width similar to the size of the width of the single edged razor blade, wherein each side-combportion of the head-structure in combination with its respective cutting edge of the razor blade is adapted to shave without changing the position of the blade upon its seat, and wherein the head-structure is provided with a flanged wall portion having a corrugated slot of a shape tapered downwardly to a narrower size than that of its upper section, to receive a magazine finger of similar shape cross-sectionally for readily spacing the members into desired angular position with respect to each other, and wherein the head-structure is provided with locking means adapted to be interlocked with the magazine linger for holding the spaceable members in a stationary position with respect to each other to prevent biting between the incoming and outgoing blades, thereby providing the user of an injector razor with a magazine-feeding shaving implement capable of being utilized in connection or combination with either a single edged injector razor blade or with a double edged injector razor blade for quick and satisfactory shaving purposes.
Thus, a shaving implement made in accordance with my invention, comprises a properly constructed instrument, capable of holding the type of blade desired by the user and is provided with locking means for controlling the spaceable members and to prevent biting of the blades; such shaving implement comprises a practical long soughtfor magazine-feeding razor affording a maximum of shaving comfort to the user; it provides fast and superb shaving performances and great satisfaction to users of razor blades for shaving purposes. It is believed that such a shaving-implement can be utilized to great advantage and therefore prove quite valuable commercially.
The variety of possible application of my novel construction with different types of razors, as herein above indicated, is so prolific that for the purpose of illustrating the invention the specific embodiment of my invention in its application to a shaving-implement exhibiting the greatest difiiculties has been selected. Such a shavingimplement is one which necessarily must conform most rigidly to the contours of the portion to be shaved and one which has the field of greatest possible commercial use. For this purpose I have selected for illustration of my novel construction, a shaving implement constituting a lmagazine feeding type razor, so` that the principles of construction may be best illustrated in a razor known as .4 an injector razor or magazine feeding shaving implement.
The objects of the present invention are attained by a novel construction which will be hereinafter described and illustrated in the drawing in connection with a specific embodiment of the invention.

Fig. l is a perspective View of a double comb or guard razor with the blade-engaging members in normal closed position, constructed in accordance with my invention, adapted for use in combination with either a single edged blade or with a double edged blade, having an angularly disposed recessed or offset depending wall portion provided With a corrugatedly shaped slot.
Fig. 2 is a fragmental perspective view showing the blade engaging members separated from each other by the inserted magazine finger for the reception of a razor blade from the magazine.
Fig. 3 is a perspective view showing the members being fully separated from each other for cleaning purposes or for replacement or adjustment of parts.
Fig. 4 is a fragmental perspective view showing the manner in which the parts are secured to each other.
Fig. 5 is a perspective View showing a magazine provided with an off-set corrugatedly shaped finger having L-shaped side-end portions. f

Referring more particularly to the drawing, in which similar reference characters identify similar parts in the several views, in my novel shaving-implement.
Arrow A indicates a razor head structure, arrow B indicates lthe stationary member and arrow C indicates the movable member; arrow D indicates the spring element and arrow E indicates the rotatable screw member.
The stationary member indicated by arrow B is provided with a wall section 11 having outwardly extending end sections 12. These end sections 12 are shaped or bent into outwardly bulged or curved sections as at 14 forming inwardly disposed ange portions" and 15'.- These Y ange portions are carrying between them a cover element or cap 16 for a purpose which will/be hereinafterexplained. Y y. The wall section 11fis provided with angular'ly disposed depending leaves, flanges or blank wall portions SandV 18. The front wall portion 18 (Figs. 1, 2, Sandalo) is recessed in a manner for example as shown at 19 (Figs.V
1 and 8) and is provided with a zig-zaggedslot or open-v ing 20 for a purpose which will be 4hereinafter explained.V
The wall portion 11 is provided with a handle 211.l This handle 21 may be `formed integral with the wall portion 11; but if desired, such handle 21 may constitute a removable section adapted to be secured to the lwall portion 11 by various suitable means, for example, screw elements 22. Such handle 21 may be made of any suitable material andfin any desirable size,js-tyle or shape;
4so that the user may choose'r the size, style.A or shape of the handle best suitable for his hand-grip', and replace or exchange his razor handle whenever desired.
The movablemember (indicated by arrow C, Fig. 3)' comprises a wall portion 24 Vand a top section 25 shaped to form a seat F for a razor blade 26. This top section 25 is provided with a curved end portion 29a and withV l comb or guard sections 32' and 33' *each having adjacent slots `or openings 32 and 33". 7
The handle 21 is provided with side openings (not shown), and the spring element (indicated by arrow D, Fig. 4)'is provided with side anges or suitable projec-` tions 34 each having an opening (opening not shown). This spring element may be shaped into any desirable form, but preferable in a manner forminga side bulged portion 35 and an angularlyrdisposed bulged portion 36; the bulge portion 35 having a suitable elongated opening 35".
My shaving implement may be assembled in the following manner. The ange portions 34 of the spring element may be secured to the handle 21 by various suitable means, for example, rivets 34' or removable screw elements 34 inserted within the openings of the ilange portions 34 and of the handle 21; the wall portion 24 of the movable member may besecured, loosely, to the bulged portion 35 by various suitable means; for
example, by means of a screw member 35 positionedwithin the slot 35, so that the` tautness of connectionY therebetween maybe vcontrolled and adjusted to desired and between the two bulged sections 14) and form a blade 26 towards the curved sections 14, so thatv while the .projections 27 will engage theend portions of the cutting edge 28 the inner faces of the curved sections 14 will engage the the end portions of the opposite cutting edge 28 of suchbla'de 26, thus clamping the razor blade between the projections 27 and thecurved sections 14; and, in addition thereto, the angularly disposed bulged section 36 of the spring element will press against the .under face of the top section 25 forcing the seat P upwardly (as seen in Fig. 4) thereby pressing the blade 26 against the cover element 16 and locking such blade firmly in its position for shaving purposes.
lf desired, the blade 26 may be made to have only one vcutting edge; for example as shown in Fig. 16,
wherein the blade b is provided with a cutting edge 43 and with a blank (non-cutting) edge 43. In such a fcase, the cuting edge 43 of the blade b may be positioned' 'against the lugs 27 and the blank edge 43 may be positioned against the inner faces of the curved sections 14 or vice versa and thus be held in position for shaving purposes. 4 i
I desire Vit to beunderstood, that while I have shown theilanged wall portion 18 being integral with,`or a part of, the wall portion .11, yet, such wall portion l18 may .beintegral with, or a portion of, the flange portion 15,
or part ofthe wall portion 24; for example as shown at arrow F, wherein the wall portion '24 of the movable member is provided with the flanged wall portion. 18 (Fig. l0). The dlsclosures herein are lfor illustrative vpurposes only and not for limitation purposes.`
The blade magazine, as indicated by arrow I, comprises` a hollow box 45 having a frontslot or opening 46 and a longitudinal slot 47. kA feeder 4S is supported slidably by the slot 47 having a pusher positioned within the box 45 as shown by the dotted lines 48.
The front portion of the side wall 49 is provided with an off-set elongated element or extension forming a iinger. This finger may be shaped in any desirable form, but preferably inthe following manner; the front face of such finger may be provided with longitudinal ridges 52 and s with grooves 53 located betweensuch ridges, and the support for the cuttingv edge Zf of the blade 26 for shaving purposes. Thus, such comb or guard section 33 and the comb or guard section 32 form the support for thev back face thereof may be provided with longitudinal recesses 52 (see Fig. 7) formed at the rear of each of such longitudinal ridges 52 thereby providing spaced longitudinal ridges 53 at the reach of each of the longitudinal grooves 53; the uppermostof such ridges termi-A nating into an upper longitudinal flange or open ridge, portion, or L-shaped portion 54 and the lowest of these ridges terminating into a lower longitudinal ilange or openv ridge portion, or L-shaped portion 55, These longitudinal ridges and` grooves may be so formed throughout The oif-set portion 56 is `formed for the purpose of` properly aligning the position of the blade magazine with respect to the razor head for shifting a razor blade from such magazine into the razor head without marring the Y cutting edges of the blade; for this reason I have recessed the wall portion: 18, to an extent sufficient to lhouse the off-Set portion 56, so that the outlet slot 46 may be Vproperly positioned adjacent the spaced front portion 57 of the razor head structure for the insertion of a blade into such head structure as above mentioned.,v

and the upper open flange portion- (or L-shapedgportion) 54'will`be -positioned within the upper end portion 61v of the slot 20 (Figs. 2 and 3) having the lower open flange portion (or L-shaped portion) .55 located within' .the curved end portion 6l of suchv slot 2b; and (while the finger is being moved into the'head structure) Ythe ridges S2 will engage the wall portion 11 of the stationary member and the ridges 53 will engage the wall portion 24 of the movable member, separating such members from each other ,thereby spacing the lugs 27 further apart from the curved sections 14; and (upon moving the finger further into the head structure) the upper flange or VL-shaped portion 54 of the finger will engage the inner face of the curved hook portion 610i the stationary member whereasfthe lower iiange or L-shaped portion 55 will engage the inner` face of extension 62 of the movablemernbcr (see Fig. 7), pressing the movable member downwardly for separating the front portion of the seat F from the front portion of the cover element 16 to an extent providing a spaced section between such front portions of suiiicient size to permit the insertion of a Yblade therebetween and simultaneously therewith interlocking such upper `flange or L-shaped portion 54 with the curved hook portion 61 and the lower ange or L-shaped portion S5 with the curved extension 26 thereby providing a positive locking means therebetween for holding the spaceableV members in an assured locked position in a manner eliminating lateral movements of the movable member with respect to the stationary member while inserting a blade therebetween. Y
As hereinabove mentioned, the disclosuresl herein are for illustrative purposes only and not for limitation purposes. For example, the flange portions S'and 55, as well "as the hook portion 61 and the extension62- do not necessarily have to be shaped in amanner as shown in Fig. 7; they may be shaped in any other suitable or desirable manner; for example as shown in Fig. 1l, wherein such angular disposed iiange portions are shaped in an outwardly disposed straight angular alignment with respect to each other, wherein the upper open ridge portion 1 of 'the magazine finger engages the inner face of the upper outwardly disposed ateiiange 1 of the wall portion 11 of the stationary member andthe lower open ridge portion 2 of such magazine finger engages the inner face of the lower upwardly projecting fiat-liange 2 of the wall portion 24 of the movable member as shown at numerals members in a manner preventing the movements of such members while inserting a5 razor blade .into `the head-' structureof the razor.

" The disclosure in Fig. 14 shows the inner structure of a blade magazine for example such as box 45; wherein the springrS may be held in desired position by frictional means, or by means of a rivet or screw-element 45'; the upper portions of such spring S pressing the blades 26 upwardly. The pusher 48 of the feeder 48 is located within the magazine for ejecting the uppermost blade 26a from such magazine. l
The-spring element (indicated by arrow D) may be secured to the 'handle-21 in any suitablema'nner permitting pivotal movements thereof to separate the spaceable menibers from eachother for cleaning purposes (see Fig. 3); but if desired,` thelower portion 34a of such spring element may be provided with a recessed or cut-out section 34b to facilitate such pivotal movements.
The slot Ztifand the magazine finger are each shaped or tapered, gradually, downwardly to a narrower size than that of their upper sections (as indicated by arrows L and M A); this form of structure places such finger in full alignment with the ,spaceable members for properly spacing suchv members tov desired degree. The combination of the zig-zagged `slot-and-fingerstructure supports such' iinger to lan extent aidingV greatly in placing of the magazine inl proper alignmentvwith the head-structure for ,moving a blade from such magazine into the head-structure without marring the cutting edges of such blade.
The end portions 71 of the wall 24- are each shaped or bent into a covexed portion 72 and are positioned against the innerfaces of theflanged wall portions 18 and 18 (as indicated by arrow N, Fig. 9)', the bent or convexed po1tion;locatcd at the iianged wall 18 provides a spaced `section forming a leadervfor the magazine finger to be moved into the head-structure between the spaccable members.
The head-structure may be constructed in a manner whereby the movable member may be provided with the lfianged wall l (see Fig. l0) then, in such form of structure, it would naturally be the stationary member which would be provided with the covexed or arched portion 72 formed by the depression 73 of the wall portion 11.
For placing a razor bladefrom the magazine into the razor head-structure thoA following method may be utilized. The finger of the magazine should be placed into the slot 29, the front portion 75 ofthe finger will then enter the space section 76 and slide'therethrough into' position within the head structure having the ridges 52 and l53' engage the inner faces of the wall portions 11 and 24 of the spaceable members` separating such members from each other (see Fig. 2); and, simultaneously therewith, the upper flange 54 (or open ridge 1) of the finger will during such slidable movement engage the inner face` of the curved hook portion 61 `(or and the lower flange 55 (or open ridge 2) of the finger will engage the inner face of the curved extension 62 (or 2'), thereby urging the movable member downwardly separating Vthe front portionY of the seat F from the front portion of the cap 16 (having the rear sections supported by the ourved'end 29a) thus-providing a spacedportion 57 for receiving :a razor blade therebetween; and at the same time holdingsuch separated members n an intcrlockcd position preventing lateral movements of such separated members with respect toeach other; so that by moving the feeder 48" forwardly the pusher 48 will-ejectthel uppermOst blade 26a from, the front opening: 46 of the magazine 45 directly into Vthe spaced'front portion 57A of the razor head without marring the cutting edge of the razor blade. i
The feature of having the'upper and lower longitudinal end portions of the magazine nger'interlocked with the curved hook portions or extensions of the stationary and movable spaceable members is, as hereinabove described, an important part of this invention, It will assure a positive hold orgrip of the connection between the finger portions and the portions of the spaceable members thereby eliminating movements of the movable member with respect to the stationary member; and, in addition thereto, such interlocking action will also hold the magazine in a stationary non-movable position, and in proper alignment, with respect to the razor head, thereby facilitating the movement of a blade from such magazine into such razor head without marring the cutting edges of such razor blade.
The spring element I(indicated by arrow D) provides the spring tension for holding the spaceable membersV in desired position with respect to each other; however, such tension may be easily adjusted to desired degree by rotating the screw-head portion (indicated by arrow E) into either direction. It will thus be seen that the knurledhead screw structure performs several functions; namely, holding the parts in assembled form for shaving purposes, adjusting the spring tension to desired degree, and separating the parts for cleaning purposes. As above mentioned, the disclosures herein are for illustrative purposes only and not for limitations; for example, if desired, the knurled-head screw may be eliminated and a rivet or means of welding, may be utilized, to hold the parts together, or various other changes in form of structure may be resorted to without departing from the spirit of this invention.
I desire it to be understood, that my herein disclosed injector razor, as well as my magazine, may be made of various suitable materials, the parts may be made in any suitable design, style or manner; for example, machined, stamped, pressed, molded, extruded, or die-casted; and in any desirable size or shape.
It is thus evident that my invention, hereinabove illustrated and described, teaches an entirely new principle in the art of shaving-implement construction. The novel manner, or form, of my injector razor-head structure, the two comb sections for supporting two cutting edges of a double-edged razor blade, or for supporting one cutting edge and one blank edge of a single edged blade, and the cap portion thereover and the adjustability of same with respect to each other, the yieldable and adjustable engaging means of the head structure for frictionally engaging the razor blade and locking same in position for shaving purposes, the adjustable tensioning means, the interlocking means of the magazine finger with the spaceable members, the simplicity of taking the sections apart for cleaning purposes and for reassembling same, and/or for replacement of parts, the novel front structure of the razor head and of the magazine finger, are important and useful features. It willv therefore be seen that my present structure, herein illustrated and described, is of a novel patentable nature; it is a practical structure, it can be utilized toA great advantage by the user, and is therefore believed to be of commercialvalue to this special type of industry.
From the above it will be seen that I have invented and perfected a magazine feeding ,shaving-implement comprising an injector razor of a new and unique design and structure, an injector razor which is practical, useful and therefore of commercial value, and although I have shown certain preferred forms or illustrations in order to explain and describe the novelty of my invention, yet, by showing such structure, I do not, by any means, limit myself to these structures, nor to the terms used in describing same, as they are for illustrative purposes only. Various suggestions and changes in form of structure may be resorted to, and I desire it to be understood that I have same in mind when showing and describing this invention, and seek protection lby Letters Patent. And, although I have mentioned in describing this invention of what material certain parts may be made, how they may be formed, shaped or styled and how they may be assembled, yet I desire it to be understood that this structure, or parts thereof, may be made of any suitable material, and shaped, formed, styled or arranged in any desirable manner, and assembled in any convenient way so that the parts may be easily taken apart, removed, cleaned, replaced and reassembled, and that various changes in detail may be resorted to without departing from the spirit of this invention.
I claim:
A shaving implement comprising a handle and a head structure, said head structure comprising two separable members and means for urging said members towards each other, one of said members having a seat for a razor blade and the other of said members having a cap located above said seat, each of said members having a wall portion, said wall portions facing each other, the front portions of the said wall portions spaced away from eachother providing a spaced section therebetween, the inner face of one of said facing wall portions having a downwardly projecting hook portion and the inner face of the other of said facing wall portions having an upwardly projecting extension, one of said members having a flank wall located in front of the said spaced section, said ilank wall having an opening situated in alignment with the said hook portion and the said extension, said opening of the said flank wall adapted to have an elongated element positioned therethrough and slidably placed into the said spaced section and moved between the said members for becoming interlocked with the said hook portion and said extension to separate the said members from each other and hold such members in a firm position to place a razor blade upon the said seat without marring the cutting edges thereof.
