MOSQUITO-GUARD.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent l\To. 281,502, dated July 17,1883. Application filed April 12, 1883. (No model.)
To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, WILLARD II. HARVEY, of Kingman, in the county of Penobscot and State of Maine, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Mosquito-Guards and I do hereby declare that the following is a full,

llfy'invention consists of an improved mos-w quito-guard designed for the protection of sportsmen, lumbermen, and others whose occupations expose them to the attacks of those and kindred insects' The drawing will explain my invention.
At a is a casing formed of wire-gauze, sufficiently large to cover the head to the shoulders, and considerably greater in diameter than the head itself. The top of this casing is lined at f, forming a protection for the head and dispensing with the usual hat.
Around thelower edge of the casing is a curtain, 0, adapted to tuck around under the collar of the coat, rendering the device mosquito- 3o proof.
At d is an opening to give access to the mouth of the wearer, closed by the door or slide 6 when not in use.
My device may, if preferred, be worn over 35 an ordinary hat or cap, and made, if desired, to conform to the general shape of the head.
WVhat I claim as my invention is- The improved mosquito-net, as described, consisting of the wire-gauze casing a, provided with the curtain 0, opening d, and door or slide 6, allowing access to the mouth ornose of the wearer without removing the guard, as and for the purposes set forth.
