The corset in effect is'va vfoundation garment embodying therewith a pantie front and crotch and a corset back. Heretofore, girdles, corsets, andother tion garments havebeen constructed .soas toperform a function only of-jsupporting the mid section including the stomach and abdomen and projecting downwardly over the extreme. upper founda- 1 w4- 4 o lsu e-z; v

It is an object ofniyjinvention to provide a novel corset embodying therewith as. a permanent unitary part thereof, atlowernbifurcated portion including a novel crown structure and arrangement and a portion of the latter serving leadegl h t p ovided r a P rpose later dewithv a portion of the lower outside portion of s the corset to provide leg openings. By referring to Figures 1 and 2, particularly, it will be seen that the combined crotch and leg portions which constitute the panties as designated in Figure 6 is attached by means of sewing to the interior of the corset. Each of the edges ll of the pantie is sewed to the interior of the garment at I8 and it will be noted that this line of stitches in in overlapped relationship with the rear part of the oppositely disposed elastic inserts D. Each of the front edges I9 constituting a portion of each of the'leg openings, is stitched to the lower portion of the corset as at 20 and this line of stitching, as will be clearly seen in Figure tion is stitched to the corset proper as indicated at 22. By referring particularly to Figures 1 and 3, it will be noted that each of the elastic straps o-r tabs l6 have their respective ends stitched to the interior of the garment as at 2|] to permanently anchor the free ends of the overlapping flaps within the garment. By referring particularly to Figure 3 it will be noted that each of the elastic tabs orstraps extend over each of the elasticinserts D in the arment. This design garment 'will require different anchorage distances.
With the combined crotch and leg portions as indicated in Figure 6 permanently associated with the corset as shown 'in Figures 1 and'2, it is clear that the corset comprises an upper tubular portion and a lower bifurcated portion, the latter being formed by a portion of the corset proper and the portions I3 of the combined crotch and leg portion insert,
The corset prope'rconsists of two or more front panels 23, 24, 25 and 26, the two oppositely disposed elastic inserts D and and three rear panels 21, Hand 29, each of which is stitched at 30" to the other to comprise the tubular garment as a whole. By referring particularly to Figures ;2 and 8,it-will'be noted that the three said rear panels extend downwardly below and over the, crotch structure portion of thegarment and over a portion of the separate legs of the garment,
thereby constituting a corset back. The main rearpanel 28 is provided at its lower portion with a slide fastener [land it will be noted that this slide fastener opens upwardly to a point substantially mid-way of-the garment and thereby permits the aforesaid overlapping crotch flaps-to be separated when the occasion demands. The elastic tabs or straps l 6 will permit a relatively wide opening of the said flaps when the occasion demands and will also serve to automatically, so to :speak, withdraw these flaps into their original overlapped desired position. Figure 8 represents a good illustration of the manner in which the flaps can be separated or opened when the slide It is to be notedthat the slide-fastener S covered on the interior of the garment by means of a flap 3| sewed at one side edge 32 to the interior of the garment. This fiap 3l serves to preventcontact of the slide fastener with the body of the wearer.
The aforesaid panels constituting this corset may, of course, each be lined with a suitable fabric as is now customary. In other words, the main panel portions of the garment may constitute two thicknesses of material.
From the foregoing, it is believed quite clear that this combined corset and pantie with its novel crotch structure constitutes a garment having all of the inherent structural characteristics permitting proper support of the parts of the wearer and also permitting the wearer to meet the demands of nature without having to pull the garment up or down or remove, the same. The structural characteristics of this garment are such that when the wearer thereof is in the act of complying with the demands of nature, the garment will not exert any unnatural or any undesirable pressure on the parts of the anatomy and consequently therefore is conducive to ones good health and convenience and practicability in the use of the same.
.Various modifications of the invention may be resorted to without departing from the spirit of the invention within the scope of the claims appended hereto.
What is claimed is:
1. In a garment of the character described, a tubular upper body portion and an integral lower bifurcated portion each forming a part of a leg opening, a combined crotch, seat, and partial leg-forming construction sewed to the garment and including normally overlapped flaps forming the seat and integral continuations thereof .each sewed to and providing with the said lower bifurcated portion of the garment separate complete leg openings for the wearer, said flaps being capable of being opened when desired.
2. A combined corset and pantie having a pantie front and crotch and a corset back consisting of a tubular upper body and an integral lower bifurcated pantie which forms a part of leg openings, a crotch structure sewed to the corset, the front of said corset extending down to and joined with the crotch thereat and constituting the said pantie front and the back of i said corset extending downwardly past the said crotch and constituting the corset back, the said crotch structure including a combined crotch, seat, and partial leg-forming opening construction and consisting of normally overlapped flaps each having opposed side edge portions attached to the interior of the corset and also having opposed free edge portions, and integral continuations thereof forming with the said bifurcated portion of the corset-separate leg openings for the wearer, and fastening means for opening and closing that said downwardly extending portion 'tape, the free ends of which are also secured to the interior of the garment at'the oppositely disposed points therein whereby when said flaps are opened the elasticity of said tapes will permit a wide opening thereof and also serve to restore said flaps to their normal overlapped relationship.
, tubular-upper bodyportion and a lower bifurcated portion, a normally closed crotch structure combined with .said garment so as to efiect a lar upper body portion and a lower bifurcated- .portion, a normally closed crotch structur per- 1 manently secured to said garment so as to eflect an integral lower pantie front, and the rear of the body portion of the garment extending downwardly and over said crotch structure at the rear thereof and constituting a corset back and slidable means for opening and closing that said portion of the body of the garment which extends over the said crotch structure at the rear of the garment whereby when the said closure means is open the said crotch structure may be opened.
6. In a garment of the character described, a tubular upper body portion and lower bifurcated leg portions, a normally closed crotch structure secured to the garment to effect an integral pantie front with said leg portions, the rear of the body portion extending downwardly over the crotch structure and over a part of the leg portions, and a slidable fastener for opening the rear downwardly extending portion up to a point substantially mid-way of the lower rear portion of the garment.
