This invention relates to a vessel which .is so constructed that it is adapted to be used for the purpose of providing a shower-bath. The device is more particularly applicable for the use of troops in camp or in the field in localities where acting as a rose in the side wall opposite the aforementioned holed side wall and substantially opposite said filling opening, and suspension means at the opposite or rear end thereof so arranged that the container is adapted to be hung on a nail, screw or the like inserted in a vertical surface so that it projects outwardly from said surface with the filling opening facing upwardly and the rose apertures facing downwardly.

The said filling opening is adapted to function as a hand grip for carrying and manipulating the container, and for thus purpose the edges thereof are rounded or beaded.

The suspension means in the preferred con struction is a slotted or holed fixing bracket fixed to the rear end of the container adjacent the top side thereof. The slot or hole therein preferably of inverted V-shape, is, adapted to co-act with nails, screws or the like of diflerent sizes, driven into a wall, post, tree or other convenient vertical surfaces.

The suspension means is so arranged that the container when engaged with such nail or the like, is constrained by contact of the bottom edge of its rear end with the vertical surface, to project outwardly therefrom at an angle approximating to 90 degrees.

The container is preferably of elongated shape and may be rectangular, circular or any other convenient cross-sectional shape.

To enable the invention to be more clearly understood and carried into practice, reference is now made to the accompanying drawing, in

which like references denote like parts throughout the several views.

Referring to Figs. 1 to 4 which shown a container of elongated rectangular shape, reference I denotes the filling opening, 2 is the group of small apertures constituting the rose, and 3 denotes the slotted fixing bracket which is permanently secured to the rear end thereof. This bracket is provided with a large V-shaped guiding notch 4 whichmerges into the small nail-engaging slot 5.

In actual use the container is first filled with water and may then be carried or left in the upright position shown in Figs. 2 and 3, until required. The container is then quickly raised and suspended on a nail 6 driven into say a post 1 in the position shown in Fig. 4, at a convenient height above the ground so that the user may stand beneath the jets 8 of water issuing from the rose apertures 2.

In an alternative construction the bracket member is provided with two spaced nail-engaging slots. In both cases the said nail-engaging slot is preferably tapered or of V-shape whereby it is adapted to fit nails, screws or the like of various sizes.

What I claim is:

A portable vessel for producing a shower bath which comprises an elongated, substantially closed container of a size such that when filled with water it may be carried by a man, said container having a filling opening in one side wall adjacent one end and a group of small openings to function as a rose in the opposite side wall sub:

stantially opposite the filling opening, the edge of the filling opening nearest the approximate end of the container being rolled or beaded to provide a hand grip for carrying the container,

and means on the opposite end of the container for suspending the container from a vertical surface so that it projects outwardly from such surface with the filling opening facing upwardly and the rose openings facing downwardly, said suspension means including a bracket secured to said end of the container and having a slot of generally inverted V-shape therein to coact with a supporting member protruding outwardly from the vertical surface, the bracket being so constructed and positioned on said end of the container that when engaging such a supporting means on the vertical surface the bottom edge of said end will contact the vertical surface and constrain the container to project outwardly therefrom at an angle of approximately GEORGE WALDO NELSON.
