Abstract
Description
- The disclosure relates to the field of electronic cigarettes, more particularly to an electronic cigarette vaporizer.
- The electronic cigarettes usually heat the e-cigarette liquid by means of a vaporizer, to produce vapor for the user. Existing electronic cigarettes usually each comprise a vaporizer and a battery rod, and the electronic cigarette vaporizer generally comprise a mouthpiece, a liquid storage chamber, a vaporizing member, etc. The cigarette liquid stored in the liquid storage chamber of existing electronic cigarette vaporizer usually has low viscosity. The waxy solid formed by solidification of tobacco tar has high viscosity and can hardly flow at room temperature, and can hardly be vaporized by existing electronic cigarette vaporizers.
- In addition, existing electronic cigarettes usually are prefilled with cigarette liquid before delivery. During long-distance transport, leakage of cigarette liquid may occur due to jolt, vibration, and the like, resulting in poor user experience during use.
- An object of the disclosure is to provide an electronic cigarette vaporizer which overcomes the above shortcomings.
- The disclosure provides a technical solution as follow. An electronic cigarette vaporizer comprises an outer tube, a mouthpiece member arranged at one end of the outer tube, a connecting member arranged at the other end of the outer tube, and a vaporizing member arranged inside the outer tube. The mouthpiece member comprises a mouthpiece housing having a mouthpiece end and a connecting end. A vapor passage extending through the mouthpiece end and the connecting end is formed in the center of the mouthpiece housing. The vaporizing member comprises a two-part tube body which is integrally-formed. The two-part tube body consists of a vapor tube located at the upper position and having a smaller diameter, and a vaporizing tube located at the lower position and having a greater diameter. The vapor tube and the vaporizing tube are connected with each other. A storage chamber for storing vapor substrate is formed between an outer wall of the two-part tube body and an inner wall of the outer tube. A tube-shaped vaporizing core for heating and vaporizing the vapor substrate is sleeved inside the vaporizing tube. A wall portion of the vaporizing tube is provided with a substrate through-hole. An upper end of a wall portion of the vapor tube is provided with a vent aperture. During assembly of the mouthpiece member, the connecting end fits tightly between the outer tube and the vapor tube, such that the air is compressed. The compressed air may be evacuated through the vent aperture. In this way, the leakage of the vapor substrate due to the compressed air can be avoided.
- Preferably, the two-part tube body may be integrally-formed and made of a material which is stainless and corrosion resistant and readily conducts heat. When the vapor substrate is heated by the tube-shaped vaporizing core, the excessive heat energy can be quickly transferred to the vapor substrate disposed in the storage chamber by the two-part tube body, such that the vapor substrate may be preheated to improve fluidity.
- Preferably, the vapor substrate may be cigarette liquid, tobacco tar having high viscosity, or waxy solid formed by solidification of tobacco tar, which produce vapor when being heated.
- Preferably, the tube-shaped vaporizing core may comprise a porous ceramic tube, a porous quartz tube, or a porous carbon fiber tube, with a heating element being embedded inside.
- Preferably, between the inner wall of the vaporizing tube and the tube-shaped vaporizing core, a liquid-permeable layer may be further provided.
- Preferably, the liquid-permeable layer may be made of non-woven fabric, carbon fiber, quartz fiber, or organic cotton.
- Preferably, the mouthpiece member may further comprise a mouthpiece sealing ring, a wall portion of the connecting end of the mouthpiece housing may be provided with a groove which extends axially and has an annular shape, and the mouthpiece sealing ring may be disposed in the groove and tightly abuts against an outer wall of the vapor tube.
- Preferably, a metallic ring may be further disposed between an outer wall of the mouthpiece sealing ring and the mouthpiece housing.
- Preferably, the connecting member may comprise a base provided with a through-hole extending axially, an upper portion of the base is located between the outer tube and the vaporizing tube, a lower portion of the base has an outer wall having a reduced outer diameter, and the outer wall is provided with connecting threads for connecting a battery rod to form an electronic cigarette by the electronic cigarette vaporizer and the battery rod, and a positive electrode is disposed in the through-hole of the base.
- Preferably, two ends of the outer tube may be respectively connected with a metal sleeve.
- Before insertion of the mouthpiece member, the space between the outer wall of the two-part tube body and the inner wall of the outer tube is opened. Such structure facilitates filling of the vapor substrate. The connection mode, in which the mouthpiece member is inserted in the outer tube by an external force, facilitates machine/manual operation and further facilitates filling procedure at the sales area. During assembly of the mouthpiece member, the connecting end fits tightly between the outer tube and the vapor tube. The air between the outer tube and the vapor tube may be compressed and evacuated through the vent aperture, such that the pressure in the storage chamber may be reduced, preventing the vapor substrate from being squeezed out through the substrate through-
hole 303 under the pressure to cause leakage. The integrally-formed two-part tube body is made of a material which readily conducts heat. When the tube-shaped vaporizing core is energized to work, excessive heat energy may be generated and absorbed and transferred to the vapor substrate by the two-part tube body, such that the tobacco tar having high viscosity, the waxy solid formed by solidification of tobacco tar, or the like, may be preheated to reduce viscosity and improve fluidity. It facilitates the vapor substrate to permeate through the substrate through-hole to the tube-shaped vaporizing core. In this way, more vapor substrate may be feed during vaporization, and more vapor may be produced in unit time, thereby providing good user experience. -

- For convenience of description, an electronic cigarette vaporizer of the disclosure is illustrated when it is vertically disposed, with a mouthpiece end being located in the upper position, as shown in the drawings. The terms, such as “upper”, “lower”, “upper portion”, “lower portion”, “upper end”, “lower end”, “upper surface”, “lower surface” as used in the disclosure, refer to position and orientation relationships when the electronic cigarette vaporizer is vertically disposed, with the mouthpiece end being located in the upper position.
- Referring to
FIGS. 1-3 , an electronic cigarette vaporizer according to an embodiment of the disclosure comprises anouter tube 2, amouthpiece member 1 arranged at one end of theouter tube 2, a connectingmember 4 arranged at the other end of theouter tube 2, and a vaporizing member 3 arranged inside theouter tube 2. - Referring to
FIGS. 4 and 5 , the vaporizing member 3 comprises a two-part tube body 30 which is integrally-formed. The two-part tube body 30 consists of avapor tube 301 disposed at the upper position and having a smaller diameter, and a vaporizingtube 302 disposed at the lower position and having a greater diameter. Thevapor tube 301 and the vaporizingtube 302 are connected with each other. The two-part tube body 30 is integrally-formed and is made of a material which is stainless and corrosion resistant and readily conducts heat, such as stainless steel. A storage chamber for storing vapor substrate is formed between an outer wall of the two-part tube body 30 and an inner wall of theouter tube 2. A tube-shapedvaporizing core 31 for vaporizing the vapor substrate to produce vapor is sleeved inside the vaporizingtube 302. A wall portion of the vaporizingtube 302 is provided with a substrate through-hole 303. An upper end of a wall portion of thevapor tube 301 is provided with avent aperture 304. - In the embodiment, the vapor substrate may comprise cigarette liquid, tobacco tar having high viscosity, waxy solid formed by solidification of tobacco tar, or the like, which produce vapor when being heated.
- Referring to
FIGS. 5-7 , themouthpiece member 1 comprises amouthpiece housing 10 having amouthpiece end 101 and a connectingend 102. Avapor passage 103 extending through the mouthpiece end and the connecting end is formed in the center of themouthpiece housing 10. During assembly of themouthpiece member 1, the connectingend 102 fits tightly between theouter tube 2 and thevapor tube 301, such that the air between theouter tube 2 and thevapor tube 301, i.e., the air inside thestorage chamber 5, is compressed. The compressed air may be evacuated through thevent aperture 304, such that the pressure in thestorage chamber 5 may be reduced, preventing the vapor substrate from being squeezed out through the substrate through-hole 303 under the pressure of the compressed air to cause leakage. In this way, the leakage of the vapor substrate during assembly can be avoided. - In the embodiment of the disclosure, the
mouthpiece member 1 is inserted in theouter tube 2 by an external force and is fastened by the tight fit connection. Before insertion of the mouthpiece member, the space between the outer wall of the two-part tube body 30 and the inner wall of theouter tube 2 is opened. Such structure facilitates filling of the vapor substrate, such as the cigarette liquid, tobacco tar having high viscosity, and waxy solid formed by solidification of tobacco tar. Hence, if the electronic cigarette vaporizer is going to be sold abroad, it is not necessary to prefill the vapor substrate before delivery. Instead, the vapor substrate may be filled after delivery to the sales area. Further, the connection mode, in which themouthpiece member 1 is inserted in theouter tube 2 by an external force, facilitates machine/manual operation and further facilitates filling procedure at the sales area. - The integrally-formed two-
part tube body 30 is made of a material which is stainless, corrosion resistant, and readily conducts heat, such as stainless steel. When the tube-shapedvaporizing core 31 is energized to work, excessive heat energy may be generated. As the two-part tube body 30 is made of a material which readily conducts heat, the excessive heat energy can be absorbed and transferred to the vapor substrate by the two-part tube body 30, such that the tobacco tar having high viscosity, the waxy solid formed by solidification of tobacco tar, or the like, may be preheated to reduce viscosity and improve fluidity. Then, the vapor substrate may permeate through the substrate through-hole 303 to the tube-shapedvaporizing core 31. In this way, more vapor substrate may be feed during vaporization, and more vapor may be produced in unit time, thereby providing good user experience. - In the embodiment, the tube-shaped
vaporizing core 31 may be a porous ceramic tube, a porous quartz tube, or a porous carbon fiber tube, with a heating element being embedded inside. - Referring to
FIG. 4 , between the inner wall of the vaporizingtube 302 and the tube-shapedvaporizing core 31, a liquid-permeable layer 32 is provided in the embodiment, which is made of a material such as non-woven fabric, carbon fiber, quartz fiber, organic cotton. - Referring to
FIGS. 6-8 , themouthpiece member 1 further comprises amouthpiece sealing ring 11. The wall portion of the connectingend 102 of themouthpiece housing 10 is provided with agroove 104 which extends axially and has an annular shape. Themouthpiece sealing ring 11 is disposed in thegroove 104 and tightly abuts against an outer wall of thevapor tube 301. Ametallic ring 12 is further disposed between an outer wall of themouthpiece sealing ring 11 and themouthpiece housing 10. Due to themetallic ring 12, the rigidity of the connectingend 102 can be improved, thereby preventing the mouthpiece housing 10 (made of plastic material) from being deformed under pressure, to cause loose connection which may lead to falling off of the mouthpiece housing, leakage of the vapor substrate, etc. - Referring to
FIG. 7 , a series of arrows as shown in the drawing show a direction in which the vapor substrate flows. That is, the vapor substrate is preheated by the outer wall of the two-part tube body 30, and then flows downward from thestorage chamber 5. It permeates through the substrate through-hole 303 of the vaporizingtube 302 into the tube-shapedvaporizing core 31. Then, by means of the heating element which is disposed in the tube-shapedvaporizing core 31 and is energized to generate heat, the vapor substrate is heated and vaporized to produce vapor. The vapor of the electronic cigarette may flow upward through a central passage of the tube-shapedvaporizing core 31 and then may be inhaled. - Referring to
FIG. 8 , a series of arrows as shown in the drawing show a direction in which the intake air and the vapor of the electronic cigarette flow. That is, under suction force of the user, the outside air flows upward through the central passage at thepositive electrode 41 of the connectingmember 4. When it passes the tube-shapedvaporizing core 31, the vapor produced in the tube-shapedvaporizing core 31 is enabled to flow upward through thevapor tube 301 and thevapor passage 103 of themouthpiece housing 10, and then may be inhaled by the user. - Referring to
FIGS. 9 and 10 , the connectingmember 4 comprises abase 40, and thebase 40 is provided with a through-hole 401 extending axially. An upper portion of thebase 40 is located between the outer tube and the vaporizing tube. A lower portion of thebase 40 has an outer wall having a reduced outer diameter, and the outer wall is provided with connectingthreads 402 for connecting a battery rod to form an electronic cigarette by the electronic cigarette vaporizer and the battery rod. Thepositive electrode 41 is disposed in the through-hole 401 of thebase 40, and anelectrode insulating ring 42 is arranged between thepositive electrode 41 and thebase 40. In such a case, as thebase 40 also serves as a negative electrode, it is necessary to provide theelectrode insulating ring 42 therebetween, to provide insulation. The upper portion of the through-hole 401 of thebase 40 is further arranged with aninsulation cover 44. The tube-shapedvaporizing core 31 is supported in the upward direction by means of theinsulation cover 44, and the tube-shapedvaporizing core 31 and the electrodes are prevented from being contacted with the base 40 serving as the negative electrode. Abottom sealing ring 43 is further arranged on thebase 40, at a position between theouter tube 2 and the vaporizingtube 302. Thebottom sealing ring 43 serves to avoid a leakage of the vapor substrate disposed in thestorage chamber 5 from the bottom. - Referring to
FIG. 11 , two ends of theouter tube 2 are respectively connected with 21, 22. Due to themetal sleeves 21, 22, the rigidity of two ends of the outer tube can be improved, thereby preventing the outer tube (made of plastic material) from being deformed under pressure, to cause loose connection at the two ends.metal sleeves - All the above are merely preferred embodiments of the disclosure. The present invention is intended to cover all modifications and equivalent arrangements those skilled in the art can make according to the technical essence of the present invention.
