Abstract
An electronic cigarette, including an atomizer module and a cartridge. The cartridge includes an e-liquid storage chamber and a sealing piece. An air guide tube is disposed in the e-liquid storage chamber. The e-liquid is filled in the e-liquid storage chamber. The sealing piece seals the e-liquid in the e-liquid storage chamber. The atomizer module includes a sealing gasket, a connector, a screw seat, an insulating ring, an electrode, an atomization chamber enclosed by walls, and a heating body. The sealing gasket seals the atomization chamber. The insulating ring is disposed between the electrode and the screw seat. The heating body and the screw seat are supported by the walls enclosing the atomization chamber. Two poles of the heating body are connected to the electrode and the screw seat, respectively. The heating body is vertical to the airflow direction or parallel to the airflow direction.
Description
- Pursuant to 35 U.S.C. § 119 and the Paris Convention Treaty, this application claims foreign priority to Chinese Patent Application No. 201711112055.1 filed Nov. 13, 2017, the contents of which and any intervening amendments thereto are incorporated herein by reference. - The present disclosure relates to an electronic cigarette cartridge and atomizer module, and an electronic cigarette comprising the same.
- Typically, the constituents of an electronic cigarette form an inseparable unit. When the e-liquid in the atomizer is used up, the atomizer and the heating elements are discarded. This leads to waste and increased costs.
- In view of the above-described problems, it is one objective of the invention to provide an electronic cigarette cartridge and atomizer module, and an electronic cigarette comprising the same.
- To achieve the above objective, in accordance with one embodiment of the invention, there is provided a cartridge for electronic cigarettes comprises an e-liquid storage chamber and a sealing piece. An air guide tube is disposed in the e-liquid storage chamber. The e-liquid is filled in the e-liquid storage chamber. The sealing piece seals the e-liquid in the e-liquid storage chamber; the sealing piece is selected from a thin film, a thin sheet or an elastic plug; and the e-liquid storage chamber is sealed in a manner of hot-pressing, plugging or covering.
- An atomizer module for electronic cigarettes comprises a sealing gasket, a connector, a screw seat, an insulating ring, an electrode, an atomization chamber enclosed by walls, and a heating body. The sealing gasket seals the atomization chamber. The insulating ring is disposed between the electrode and the screw seat. The heating body and the screw seat are supported by the walls enclosing the atomization chamber; two poles of the heating body are connected to the electrode and the screw seat, respectively; and the heating body is vertical to an airflow direction or parallel to an airflow direction.
- In a class of this embodiment, the walls enclosing the atomization chamber are elastic material, and support and seal the heating body; the heating body is disposed in the atomization chamber, and there is no gap between the heating body and the elastic wall of the atomization chamber, so that the leakage of the e-liquid is prevented and the heating body is supported. The elastic walls of the atomization chamber and the screw seat are attached to each other so as to prevent the leakage of the e-liquid.
- An electronic cigarette comprises an atomizer module and a cartridge which are combined detachably; the cartridge comprises an e-liquid storage chamber and a sealing piece. An air guide tube is disposed in the e-liquid storage chamber. The e-liquid is filled in the e-liquid storage chamber. The sealing piece seals the e-liquid in the e-liquid storage chamber.
- In a class of this embodiment, the atomizer module comprises a sealing gasket, a connector, a screw seat, an insulating ring, an electrode, an atomization chamber enclosed by walls, and a heating body. The sealing gasket seals the atomization chamber. The insulating ring is disposed between the electrode and the screw seat. The heating body and the screw seat are supported by the walls enclosing the atomization chamber; two poles of the heating body are connected to the electrode and the screw seat, respectively; and the heating body is vertical to an airflow direction or parallel to an airflow direction.
- In a class of this embodiment, the walls enclosing the atomization chamber are elastic material, and support and seal the heating body; the heating body is disposed in the atomization chamber, and there is no gap between the heating body and the elastic walls of the atomization chamber, so that the leakage of the e-liquid is prevented and the heating body is supported.
- In a class of this embodiment, the electronic cigarette further comprises a mouthpiece module, the mouthpiece module comprises a suction nozzle, and the mouthpiece module and the walls of the e-liquid storage chamber are combined in a manner of screw, clamping or interference fit.
- In a class of this embodiment, the airflow enters the atomization chamber via two air holes on the screw seat, and takes away the vapor produced by the heating body; the vapor enters the mouth of a smoker through middle holes separated from the e-liquid storage chamber; when the cartridge requires replacing, first, the sealing piece of the cartridge is removed, an opening of the sealing piece is upward, the atomizer module is inserted in the e-liquid storage chamber. The connection mode of the atomizer module and the elastic wall of the e-liquid storage chamber includes but is not limited to screw thread and clamping.
- In a class of this embodiment, the airflow enters the atomization chamber via two air holes on the screw seat during working, and takes away the vapor produced by the heating body; the vapor enters the suction nozzle through the middle holes separated from the e-liquid storage chamber and then is sucked into the mouth of the smoker. When the cartridge requires replacing, first, the sealing piece is removed, the opening of the sealing piece is upward, the atomizer module is inserted in the e-liquid storage chamber, and then the mouthpiece module is inserted in the e-liquid storage chamber.
- In a class of this embodiment, the mouthpiece module also comprises a middle air tube, and the middle air tube is mounted on the suction nozzle.
- In a class of this embodiment, the atomizer module is of an upper intake type. The airflow enters the middle tube of the e-liquid storage chamber through an air inlet hole of the suction nozzle during working, the airflow is blown onto the heating body, and takes away the vapor produced by the heating body, the vapor enters the suction nozzle through the middle air tube and then is sucked into the mouth of the smoker.
- In a class of this embodiment, the screw seat is free of an air inlet hole; when the cartridge requires replacing, first, the sealing piece is removed, the opening of the sealing piece is upward, the atomizer module is inserted in the e-liquid storage chamber, and then the mouthpiece module is inserted in the e-liquid storage chamber.
- In the present disclosure, the atomizer module can be repeatedly used, and the cartridge is one-off packaged. The cartridge is replaceable, and the atomizer module is repeatedly used, thus achieving the maximum service life of the atomizer, saving the material cost and reducing the consumer's expenditure. At the same time, the waste of materials is reduced and the purpose of energy saving and environmental protection is achieved.

FIG. 7 is a first structure diagram of an electronic cigarette according to one embodiment of the present disclosure; -
FIG. 8 is a second structure diagram of an electronic cigarette according to one embodiment of the present disclosure; and -
FIG. 9 is a third structure diagram of an electronic cigarette according to one embodiment of the present disclosure. - For further illustrating the invention, experiments detailing a cartridge, an atomizer module, and an electronic cigarette comprising the same are described below. It should be noted that the following examples are intended to describe and not to limit the invention.
- A cartridge for electronic cigarettes comprises an
e-liquid storage chamber 1 and asealing piece 11. An air guide tube is disposed in thee-liquid storage chamber 1. The e-liquid is filled in the e-liquid storage chamber. Thesealing piece 11 seals the e-liquid in the e-liquid storage chamber; thesealing piece 11 is selected from a thin film, a thin sheet or an elastic plug; and the e-liquid storage chamber is sealed in a manner of hot-pressing, plugging or covering. - An atomizer module for electronic cigarettes comprises a sealing
gasket 2, aconnector 3, ascrew seat 4, aninsulating ring 5, anelectrode 6, anatomization chamber 7 formed by elastic walls, and aheating body 8. Theheating body 8 and thescrew seat 4 are supported by the elastic walls enclosing theatomization chamber 7; two poles of theheating body 8 are connected to theelectrode 6 and thescrew seat 4, respectively; and theheating body 8 is vertical to an airflow direction or parallel to an airflow direction. - Preferably, the elastic walls of the
atomization chamber 7 support and seal theheating body 8; theheating body 8 is disposed in theatomization chamber 7, and there is no gap between theheating body 8 and the elastic walls of theatomization chamber 7, so that the leakage of the e-liquid is prevented and the effect of supporting theheating body 8 is achieved. The elastic walls of theatomization chamber 7 and thescrew seat 4 are attached to each other so as to prevent the leakage of the e-liquid. - An electronic cigarette comprises an atomizer module and a cartridge which are combined detachably; the cartridge comprises an
e-liquid storage chamber 1 and a sealingpiece 11. An air guide tube is disposed in thee-liquid storage chamber 1. The e-liquid is filled in the e-liquid storage chamber. The sealingpiece 11 seals the e-liquid in the e-liquid storage chamber. - Preferably, the atomizer module comprises a sealing
gasket 2, aconnector 3, ascrew seat 4, an insulatingring 5, anelectrode 6, anatomization chamber 7 formed by an elastic wall, and aheating body 8. Theheating body 8 and thescrew seat 4 are supported by the elastic wall enclosing theatomization chamber 7; two poles of theheating body 8 are connected to theelectrode 6 and thescrew seat 4, respectively; and theheating body 8 can be placed in a direction vertical to the airflow direction or parallel to an airflow direction. - Preferably, the elastic wall of the
atomization chamber 7 supports and seals theheating body 8; theheating body 8 is disposed in theatomization chamber 7, and there is no gap between theheating body 8 and the elastic wall of theatomization chamber 7, so that the leakage of the e-liquid is prevented and theheating body 8 is supported. - Preferably, the electronic cigarette further comprises a mouthpiece module, the mouthpiece module comprises a
suction nozzle 10, and the mouthpiece module and the walls of thee-liquid storage chamber 1 are combined in a manner of screw, clamping or interference fit. - Preferably, the airflow enters the
atomization chamber 7 via two air holes on thescrew seat 4, and takes away the vapor produced by theheating body 8; the vapor enters the mouth of a smoker through middle holes separated from thee-liquid storage chamber 1; when the cartridge requires replacing, first, the sealingpiece 11 of the cartridge is removed, an opening of the sealing piece is upward, the atomizer module is inserted in thee-liquid storage chamber 1. The connection mode of the atomizer module and the elastic wall of the e-liquid storage chamber includes but is not limited to screw thread and clamping. - Preferably, the airflow enters the
atomization chamber 7 via two air holes on thescrew seat 4 during working, and takes away the vapor produced by theheating body 8; the vapor enters thesuction nozzle 10 through the middle holes separated from thee-liquid storage chamber 1 and then is sucked into the mouth of the smoker. When the cartridge requires replacing, first, the sealingpiece 11 is removed, the opening of the sealing piece is upward, the atomizer module is inserted in thee-liquid storage chamber 1, and then the mouthpiece module is inserted in thee-liquid storage chamber 1. - Preferably, the mouthpiece module also comprises a
middle air tube 9, and themiddle air tube 9 is mounted on thesuction nozzle 10. - The atomizer is of an upper intake type. The airflow enters the middle tube of the
e-liquid storage chamber 1 through an air inlet hole of thesuction nozzle 10 during working, the airflow is blown onto theheating body 8, and takes away the vapor produced by theheating body 8, the vapor enters thesuction nozzle 10 through themiddle air tube 9 and then is sucked into the mouth of the smoker. - Preferably, the
screw seat 4 is free of an air inlet hole; when the cartridge requires replacing, first, the sealingpiece 11 is removed, the opening of the sealing piece is upward, the atomizer module is inserted in thee-liquid storage chamber 1, and then the mouthpiece module is inserted in the e-liquid storage chamber. - In the present disclosure, the atomizer module can be repeatedly used, and the cartridge is one-off packaged. The cartridge is replaceable, and the atomizer module is repeatedly used, thus achieving the maximum service life of the atomizer, saving the material cost and reducing the consumer's expenditure. At the same time, the waste of materials is reduced and the purpose of energy saving and environmental protection is achieved.
- In one embodiment, the entire atomizer comprises the atomizer module as shown in
FIG. 1 , thee-liquid storage chamber 1 as shown inFIG. 2 and the mouthpiece module inFIGS. 3A-3B . The atomizer module can be combined (including but not limited to a screw connection mode) with the e-liquid storage chamber together as shown inFIGS. 4A-4B , and the mouthpiece module and the e-liquid storage chamber are combined (including but not limited to the screw connection mode) together. - Moreover, the atomizer module comprises the sealing
gaskets 2, theconnector 3, thescrew seat 4, the insulatingring 5, theelectrode 6, theatomization chamber 7 and theheating body 8. The walls enclosing theatomization chamber 7 are made of the elastic material, and support theheating body 8 and thescrew seat 4. Two poles of theheating body 8 are connected to theelectrode 6 and thescrew seat 4 respectively; and theheating body 8 can be placed in the direction vertical to the airflow direction and also can be placed in the direction parallel to an airflow direction. - In the embodiment, the mouthpiece module, which is an optional component, comprises the suction nozzle 10 (optional) and the middle air tube 9 (optional). The
middle air tube 9 is mounted (including but not limited to connection modes such as interference fit and screw) on thesuction nozzle 10. - The cartridge comprises the
e-liquid storage chamber 1 and the sealingpiece 11. As shown inFIG. 5 andFIG. 6 , the e-liquid is injected into the e-liquid storage chamber, and the sealing piece is used for sealing the e-liquid in the e-liquid storage chamber. - When the suction nozzle is not used, the atomizer module is as shown in
FIG. 7 . The airflow enters theatomization chamber 7 via two air holes on thescrew seat 4 during working, and takes away the vapor produced by theheating body 8, the vapor enters the mouth of the smoker through the middle holes separated from the e-liquid storage chamber. When the cartridge requires replacing, first, the sealingpiece 11 is removed, the atomizer module is inserted in the e-liquid storage chamber 1 (the connection mode therebetween includes but is not limited to screw, clamping, interference fit and the like). - When the suction nozzle is used:
- Option 1: when the
middle air tube 9 is not used, the atomizer module is as shown inFIG. 8 . The airflow enters theatomization chamber 7 via two air holes on thescrew seat 4 during working, and takes away the vapor produced by theheating body 8, the vapor enters thesuction nozzle 10 through the middle holes separated from thee-liquid storage chamber 1 and then is sucked into the mouth of the smoker. When the cartridge requires replacing, first, the sealingpiece 11 is removed, the atomizer module is inserted in thee-liquid storage chamber 1, and then the mouthpiece module (as shown inFIG. 3A ) is inserted in the e-liquid storage chamber 1 (the connection mode includes but is not limited to screw, clamping, interference fit and the like). - Option 2: when the
middle air tube 9 is used, the atomizer, which is of an upper air intake type, is as shown inFIG. 9 . The airflow enters the middle tubes of thee-liquid storage chamber 1 through the hole (P.S.: the air inlet hole in the suction nozzle) of thesuction nozzle 10 during working, the airflows are blown onto theheating body 8, and the vapor produced by theheating body 8 is taken away, enters thesuction nozzle 10 through themiddle air tube 9 and then is sucked into the mouth of the smoker (P.S.: thescrew seat 4 is free of an air inlet hole). When the cartridge requires replacing, first, the sealingpiece 11 for the cartridge is removed (paying attention to the upward opening), the atomizer module is inserted in thee-liquid storage chamber 1, and then the mouthpiece module (as shown inFIG. 3B ) inserted in the e-liquid storage chamber (the connection modes include but not limited to screw, clamping, interference fit and the like). - In the present disclosure, the atomizer module can be repeatedly used, and the cartridge is one-off packaged. The cartridge is replaceable, and the atomizer module is repeatedly used, thus achieving the maximum service life of the atomizer, saving the material cost and reducing the consumer's expenditure. At the same time, the waste of materials is reduced and the purpose of energy saving and environmental protection is achieved.
- Specifically, the present disclosure is summarized as follows:
- first, the present disclosure provides an electronic cigarette with a replaceable cartridge;
- second, the electronic cigarette of the present disclosure (which can be provided with a mouthpiece module) comprises the atomizer module and the e-liquid storage chamber, and the wall materials of the e-liquid storage chamber include but not limited to plastic, metal or silica gel.
- third, the cartridge in the present disclosure comprises the e-liquid storage chamber and the sealing piece.
- fourth, the electronic cigarette of the present disclosure has two variant forms:
-
- a, the atomizer module including an air inlet hole and the mouthpiece module excluding an air inlet hole or middle air tube are combined to form a lower air intake type atomizer; and
- b, the atomizer module excluding an air inlet hole and the mouthpiece module including an air inlet hole and the middle air tube are combined to form an upper air intake type atomizer;
- fifth, the walls enclosing the atomization chamber of the atomizer module are made of elastic material, and the walls support and seal the
heating body 8 and the screw seat, preventing the leakage of the e-liquid; and - sixth, the
heating body 8 in the present disclosure is placed in the direction vertical to the airflow direction or in the direction parallel to an airflow direction. - While particular embodiments of the invention have been shown and described, it will be obvious to those skilled in the art that changes and modifications may be made without departing from the invention in its broader aspects, and therefore, the aim in the appended claims is to cover all such changes and modifications as fall within the true spirit and scope of the invention.
Claims (10)
1. A cartridge for electronic cigarettes, the cartridge comprising:
1) an e-liquid storage chamber;
2) an air guide tube; and
3) a sealing piece;
wherein
the air guide tube is disposed in the e-liquid storage chamber;
the e-liquid storage chamber is filled with e-liquid;
the sealing piece seals the e-liquid in the e-liquid storage chamber;
the sealing piece is selected from a thin film, a thin sheet or an elastic plug; and;
the sealing piece seals the e-liquid storage chamber in a manner of hot-pressing, plugging, or covering.
2. An atomizer module for electronic cigarettes, the atomizer module comprising:
a sealing gasket;
a connector;
a screw seat;
an insulating ring;
an electrode;
an atomization chamber enclosed by walls; and
a heating body comprising two poles;
wherein
the sealing gasket seals the atomization chamber;
the insulating ring is disposed between the electrode and the screw seat;
the heating body and the screw seat are supported by the walls enclosing the atomization chamber;
the two poles of the heating body are connected to the electrode and the screw seat, respectively; and
the heating body is vertical to an airflow direction or parallel to an airflow direction.
3. The atomizer module of claim 2 , wherein the walls enclosing the atomization chamber are elastic material, and support and seal the heating body; the heating body is disposed in the atomization chamber; the walls of the atomization chamber and the screw seat are closely attached to each other.
4. An electronic cigarette, comprising:
an atomizer module; and
a cartridge;
wherein
the atomizer module and the cartridge are combined detachably;
the cartridge comprises an e-liquid storage chamber and a sealing piece;
an air guide tube is disposed in the e-liquid storage chamber;
the e-liquid is filled in the e-liquid storage chamber; and
the sealing piece seals the e-liquid in the e-liquid storage chamber.
5. The electronic cigarette of claim 4 , wherein the atomizer module comprises a sealing gasket, a connector, a screw seat, an insulating ring, an electrode, an atomization chamber enclosed by walls, and a heating body comprising two poles; the sealing gasket seals the atomization chamber; the insulating ring is disposed between the electrode and the screw seat; the heating body and the screw seat are supported by the walls enclosing the atomization chamber; the two poles of the heating body are connected to the electrode and the screw seat, respectively; and the heating body is vertical to an airflow direction or parallel to an airflow direction.
6. The electronic cigarette of claim 5 , wherein the walls enclosing the atomization chamber are elastic material, and support and seal the heating body; the heating body is disposed in the atomization chamber; the walls of the atomization chamber and the screw seat are closely attached to each other.
7. The electronic cigarette of claim 5 , further comprising a mouthpiece module, wherein the mouthpiece module comprises a suction nozzle, and the mouthpiece module and the walls of the e-liquid storage chamber are combined in a manner of screw, clamping or interference fit.
8. The electronic cigarette of claim 7 , wherein the screw seat comprises two air holes allowing the airflow to enter the atomization chamber; the atomizer module is inserted in the e-liquid storage chamber; and a connection mode of the atomizer module and the walls enclosing the e-liquid storage chamber is through screw thread and clamping.
9. The electronic cigarette of claim 7 , wherein the mouthpiece module also comprises a middle air tube, and the middle air tube is mounted on the suction nozzle.
10. The electronic cigarette of claim 8 , wherein the screw seat comprises two air holes allowing the airflow to enter the atomization chamber; the atomizer module is inserted in the e-liquid storage chamber; and a connection mode of the atomizer module and the walls enclosing the e-liquid storage chamber is through screw thread and clamping.
