  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • In order that the advantages of certain embodiments of the invention will be readily understood, a more particular description of the invention briefly described above will be rendered by reference to specific embodiments that are illustrated in the appended drawings. While it should be understood that these drawings depict only typical embodiments of the invention and are not therefore to be considered to be limiting of its scope, the invention will be described and explained with additional specificity and detail through the use of the accompanying drawings, in which:
  • FIG. 1A is a back view illustrating a flat sheet for a set of bed sheets, according to an embodiment of the present invention.
  • FIG. 1B is a front view illustrating a fitted sheet for the set of bed sheets, according to an embodiment of the present invention.
  • FIG. 1C is a side view illustrating the fitted sheet for the set of bed sheets, according to an embodiment of the present invention.
  • FIG. 2A is a back view illustrating a flat sheet for a set of bed sheets, according to an embodiment of the present invention.
  • FIG. 2B is a front view illustrating a fitted sheet for the set of bed sheets, according to an embodiment of the present invention.
  • FIG. 2C is a side view illustrating the fitted sheet for the set of bed sheets, according to an embodiment of the present invention.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE EMBODIMENTS
  • Some embodiments of the present invention generally pertain to a set of bed sheets that maintain warmth using a warming section. The warming section may be made of plush microfibers fabric configured to generate and maintain warmth to a person's legs and/or feet.
  • FIG. 1A-1C illustrate a set of bed sheets, according to an embodiment of the present invention. In some embodiments, the set of bed sheets may include a flat sheet 100 and a fitted sheet 115 that warms a person's feet. In particular, the warming may be created at the bottom of respective flat sheet 100 and fitted sheet 115. Upper section 105 of flat sheet 100 may be composed of cotton or other linen material. Similarly, upper section 120 of fitted sheet 115 may also be composed of cotton or other linen material. Lower section 110 of flat sheet 100 and lower section 125 of fitted sheet 115 may be considered a warming section. This warming section may include plush fabric, such as faux mink, faux fur, flannel, etc. As shown in FIG. 1C, lower section 125 of fitted sheet 115 (also known as warming section) and upper section 120 of fitted sheet are stitched such that there the user feels a smooth transition between the two sections.
  • In some embodiments, lower section 115 and upper section 125 may form a pocket to warm a person's legs and/or feet. In FIGS. 1A and 1B, the top (back) view of flat sheet 100 and bottom (front) view of fitted sheet 115 may include respective lower sections 110, 125, i.e., the warming sections. This way, a person's legs and/or feet are surrounded on both sides by the warming section, creating warmth.
  • In some embodiments, both sides of flat sheet 100 and both sides of fitted sheet 115 may include warming sections. This way, regardless of which side is on the bed, a person's legs and/or feet are surrounded by the warming sections, creating warmth. In other embodiments, one of the two sides of flat sheet 100 and fitted sheet 115 may include the warming sections. This way, a person can avoid excessive warmth by having one of the warming sections touching his or her legs and/or feet.
  • In certain embodiments, only the flat sheet may include a warming section (or pocket) allowing a person to insert his or her feet. In other embodiments, only the fitted sheet may include a warming section (or pocket) allowing the person to insert his or her feet. To form a pocket, two short sides of the warming section and one of the long sides of the warming section are sewn onto the fitted sheet and/or onto the flat sheet in some embodiments. See, for example, FIGS. 2A-2C, which illustrates a set of bed sheets for creating warmth, according to an embodiment of the present invention. In some of these embodiments, fitted sheet 210 may include a top section 215 and a lower section 220, which may be the warming section. See, for example, FIG. 2C. In such an embodiment, lower section 220 may form a pocket 225, allowing a user to insert his or her feet within lower section (or warming section) 220. Both sides of warming section, i.e., the outside of pocket 225 and inside of the pocket 225, may be made of plush fabric, such as faux mink, faux fur, flannel, etc., to create warmth. In other embodiments, only one side of pocket 225 may be made of the aforementioned material. For example, the outside of pocket 225 may be made of standard linen material, while the inside of pocket 225 is made of the aforementioned material to create warmth. This way, the person may not notice the difference between top section 215 and lower section 220 of fitted sheet without inserting his or her feet within pocket 225. In certain embodiments, depending on the stitching, the warming section may include separate pockets (not shown). This way, a person sharing the bed with another individual can insert his or her feet in a different pocket than the person he or she is sharing the bed sheet with.
  • To avoid excessive warmth, fitted sheet 210 may include the warming section (or lower section 220) while flat sheet 200 may not include a warming section, or visa-versa. Because only one of the two sheets have a warming section in some embodiments, excessive warmth may be avoided. In environments, such as winter climates, it may be beneficial for both sheets to include a warming section.
  • Regardless of whether the warming section is a pocket itself, or a pocket formed by the set of bed sheets, the dimensions of the pocket in either embodiment may vary depending on the size of the bed without the warming section. For example, a king bed may include a larger warming section than a warming section of a queen bed or twin bed.
  • In some embodiments, stitching on the flat sheet and the fitted sheet allows a person to flip the warming section of the flat sheet and fitted sheet, such that the person may use the desired side of the flat sheet and fitted sheet. This way, if the person does not want to use the warming section of the flat sheet and fitted sheet, then the person need not do so. In some embodiments, either side of the flat sheet and fitted sheet may include the warming section.
  • Simply stated, some embodiments generally pertain to a set of bed sheets that includes a warming section to keep a person's legs and/or feet warm. This way, the person may avoid wearing socks, pajama pants, and/or other lower body clothing while sleeping at night.
  • It will be readily understood that the components of various embodiments of the present invention, as generally described and illustrated in the figures herein, may be arranged and designed in a wide variety of different configurations.
