Description
- 1. Fields of the Invention
- The present invention relates to towel, and more particularly, to a towel with holes and reinforcement ribs at corners of the towel so as to be easily held when using the towel to scrubbing the user's back.
- 2. Descriptions of Related Art
- The conventional towels are made by cotton yarns which are woven to a desired shape and size. The cotton yarns absorb liquid such as sweat and the water so that can be used to clean user's bodies.
- Generally, when a user wants to use the towel to clean or scrub his/her back, the user grabs two diametrical corners of the towel by two hands to position the towel such that the towel can clean or scrub the user's hack. However, for some users, such as the disables or those who are suffered by arthritis, who cannot easily hold the towel, the way mentioned above to hold the towel is difficult for them. Therefore, they need one to help them to complete these tasks, and, dignity problem is accompanied with this type of inconvenience. A towel that can be easily and conveniently used by the users who are not able to hold the corners of the towel is needed.
- The present invention intends to provide a towel that eliminates the shortcomings mentioned above.
- The present invention relates to a towel and comprises a towel body having four corners and each corner has an L-shaped reinforcement rib connected to two sides of each corner. The density of each of the L-shaped reinforcement ribs is larger than that of the towel body. Each corner has a hole defined therethrough and located close to the reinforcement portion. Each hole has a reinforcement portion connected to the inner periphery thereof. The holes are respectively located at corners of the towel body or at positions close to sides of the towel body.
- The primary object of the present invention is to provide a towel that has holes at corners or sides of the towel body so that the users can easily hold the towel body by extending fingers through the holes Another object of the present invention is to provide a towel that is easily held so that any user can finish the cleaning task by himself/herself.
- The present invention will become more obvious from the following description when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings which show, for purposes of illustration only, a preferred embodiment in accordance with the present invention.
-
FIG. 1 is a perspective view to show the towel of the present invention; -
FIG. 2 is a plan view of the towel of the present invention; -
FIG. 3 is a cross sectional view of the towel of the present invention; -
FIG. 3-1 is an enlarged cross sectional view of the circled portion ofFIG. 3 ; -
FIG. 4 shows the use of the towel of the present invention; -
FIG. 5 is a plan view to show another embodiment of the towel of the present invention; -
FIG. 6 is a cross sectional view of the towel of the present invention, and -
FIG. 6-1 is an enlarged cross sectional view of the circled portion ofFIG. 6 . - Referring to
FIGS. 1 to 3 , 3-1 and 4, the towel of the present invention comprises a towel body 1 having four corners and each corner has ahole 15/16/17/18 defined therethrough. Each corner of the towel body 1 has areinforcement rib 10/11/12/13 connected along at least one side thereof The density of eachreinforcement rib 10/11/12/13 is larger than that of the towel body 1. In other words, each reinforcement rib 10/11/12/13 is stronger than the towel body 1. Theholes 15 to 18 are respectively located close to the reinforcement ribs 10-13 or at positions close to the sides of the towel body 1. The holes 15-18 are circular holes, polygonal holes or any geometric holes. Each of the reinforcement ribs 10-13 is an - L-shaped rib, a straight rib or a waved rib. Each of the holes 15-18 has a
reinforcement portion 151/161/171/181 connected to the inner periphery thereof, and the density of eachreinforcement portion 151/161/171/181 is larger than that of the towel body 1. Eachreinforcement portion 151/161/171/181 is made by different material from that of the towel body 1, preferably, the material for thereinforcement portion 151/161/171/181 is plastic. - The diameter of each hole 15-18 is larger than the diameter of a user's
thumb 200 andfinger 201, and smaller than the diameter of the user'sfist 20. - When a user uses the towel body 1, the
thumb 200 or anyfinger 201 of the two hands of the user extends through the 15, 18 located on opposite sides or corners of the towel body 1 to position the towel body 1 so that the towel body 1 is positioned at the back of the user as shown inholes FIG. 4 . Therefore, the user moves the two hands to scrub his/her back by the towel body 1 easily. Even if the user is suffered by arthritis or other problems to his/her shoulders can use the towel body 1 of the present invention. Thanks to thereinforcement portion 151/161/171/181 of eachhole 15/16/17/18, the 15, 16, 17, 18 are not broken by the force applied by the user. Theholes reinforcement portion 151/161/171/181 of eachhole 15/16/17/18 provides a proper flexibility when in use. Therefore, any user can clean or scrub his/her back by using the towel body 1 without need of other people' help. The users who are disables or suffered by arthritis can finish the task with dignity. - As shown in
FIGS. 5 , 6 and 6-1, another embodiment of the present invention is disclosed and the difference is that thereinforcement rib 10/11/12/13 and thereinforcement portion 151/161/171/181 are combined to be areinforcement plate 30/31/32/33 which is connected between each of the holes 15-18 and the corner of the towel body 1. The density of eachreinforcement plate 30/31/32/33 is larger than that of the towel body 1. Thereinforcement plate 30/31/32/33 reinforces the structural strength of eachhole 15/16/17/18 corresponding thereto. - The towel of the present invention has simple structure and effectively eliminates the shortcomings of the conventional towels and brings convenience to some users who have difficulties to use towels to clean and scrub his/her back.
- While we have shown and described the embodiment in accordance with the present invention, it should be clear to those skilled in the art that further embodiments may be made without departing from the scope of the present invention.
