A soap-dispensing bathing wand for scrubbing hard-to-reach areas includes a tube that is arcuate. A housing is coupled to and extends from a first end of the tube. The housing comprises an annular wall that is coupled to and extends between a top and a bottom. The top and the bottom are circularly shaped. The housing is externally threaded adjacent to the bottom. Each of a plurality of attachments is positioned to selectively couple to the housing. The attachments are configured to scrub a body of a user. The tube is configured to be grasped in a hand of the user to position the housing proximate to hard-to-reach areas of the body of the user. A respective attachment that is positioned on the housing is configured to scrub the body of the user.

  • The disclosure and prior art relates to bathing wands and more particularly pertains to a new bathing wand for scrubbing hard-to-reach areas.
  • BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a tube that is arcuate. A housing is coupled to and extends from a first end of the tube. The housing comprises an annular wall that is coupled to and extends between a top and a bottom. The top and the bottom are circularly shaped. The housing is externally threaded adjacent to the bottom. Each of a plurality of attachments is positioned to selectively couple to the housing. The attachments are configured to scrub a body of a user. The tube is configured to be grasped in a hand of the user to position the housing proximate to hard-to-reach areas of the body of the user. A respective attachment that is positioned on the housing is configured to scrub the body of the user.
  • There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
  • The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.

  • The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
  • FIG. 1 is an isometric perspective view of a soap-dispensing bathing wand according to an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 2 is a bottom view of an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view of an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 4 is an exploded view of an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 5 is an in-use view of an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to FIGS. 1 through 5 thereof, a new bathing wand embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by the reference numeral 10 will be described.
  • As best illustrated in FIGS. 1 through 5, the soap-dispensing bathing wand 10 generally comprises a tube 12, a housing 14, and a plurality of attachments 16. The tube 12 is arcuate. The housing 14 is coupled to and extends from a first end 18 of the tube 12. The housing 14 comprises an annular wall 20 is coupled to and extends between a top 22 and a bottom 24. The top 22 and the bottom 24 are circularly shaped. The housing 14 is externally threaded adjacent to the bottom 24. The tube 12 is configured to be grasped in a hand of a user to position the housing 14 proximate to hard-to-reach areas of a body of the user, such as a back of the user.
  • In one embodiment, the tube 12 is substantially circularly shaped when viewed longitudinally. In another embodiment, the housing 14 defines an interior space 26 so that the housing 14 is configured to position liquid soap in the interior space 26.
  • A plurality of holes 28 is positioned in the bottom 24 of the housing 14. The holes 28 are configured to allow flow of the liquid soap through the bottom 24 of the housing 14. In one embodiment, the plurality of holes 28 comprises four holes 28.
  • The plurality of attachments 16 is complementary to the bottom 24 of the housing 14. The attachments 16 are configured to scrub the body of the user. Each attachment 16 is positioned to selectively fluidically couple to the housing 14. A respective attachment 16 is positioned on the housing 14 so that the respective attachment 16 is configured to scrub the body of the user.
  • In one embodiment, each attachment 16 comprises a ring 30, a plate 32 and a tool 34. The ring 30 is complementary to the bottom 24 of the housing 14. The plate 32 has a first face 36 that is coupled to a terminus 38 of the ring 30. A plurality of orifices 40 is positioned through the plate 32. The plurality of orifices 40 is configured to allow flow of the liquid soap through the plate 32. The tool 34 is coupled to and extends from a second face 42 of the plate 32. The tool 34 is water permeable. The tool 34 is configured to scrub the body of the user. In another embodiment, the tool 34 comprises sponge. In yet another embodiment, the tool 34 comprises natural sponge. In still yet another embodiment, the tool 34 comprises a plurality of bristles 44.
  • A grip 46 is coupled to the tube 12 proximate to a second end 54 of the tube 12. The grip 46 is configured to be grasped in a hand of a user. In one embodiment, the grip 46 comprises rubber.
  • A penetration 48 is positioned in the top 22 of the housing 14. The penetration 48 is internally threaded. The penetration 48 is configured to add the liquid soap to the interior space 26. A plug 50 that is complementary to the penetration 48 is configured to reversibly couple to the housing 14 to close the penetration 48.
  • A connector 52 is coupled to the second end 54 of the tube 12. The connector 52 is configured to couple the tube 12 to a surface proximate to a bathing area, such as a shower enclosure. In one embodiment, the connector 52 comprises a strap 60 that has opposing ends 56. Each opposing end 56 is coupled to the second end 54 of the tube 12 to define a loop 58. The loop 58 is configured to insert a hook that is coupled to the surface proximate to the bathing area to couple the tube 12 to the surface proximate to the bathing area. In another embodiment, the strap 60 comprises rubber.
  • In use, the penetration 48 that is positioned in the housing 14 is configured to add the liquid soap to the interior space 26. The grip 46 that is positioned on the tube 12 is configured to be grasped in the hand of the user to position the housing 14 proximate to the hard-to-reach areas of the body of the user, such as the back of the user. The holes 28 that are positioned in the housing 14 are configured to allow flow of the liquid soap through the bottom 24 of the housing 14. The plurality of orifices 40 that is positioned through the plate 32 is configured to allow flow of the liquid soap through the plate 32. The tool 34 that is positioned on the plate 32 is configured to scrub the body of the user. The loop 58 that is positioned on the tube 12 configured to insert the hook that is coupled to the surface proximate to the bathing area to couple the tube 12 to the surface proximate to the bathing area.
  • With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.

Claims (14)

I claim:
1. A soap-dispensing bathing wand assembly comprising:
a tube, said tube being arcuate;
a housing coupled to and extending from a first end of said tube, said housing comprising an annular wall coupled to and extending between a top and a bottom, said top and said bottom being circularly shaped, said housing being externally threaded adjacent to said bottom;
a plurality of attachments complementary to said bottom of said housing such that each said attachment is positioned for selectively coupling to said housing, said attachments being configured for scrubbing a body of a user; and
wherein said housing is positioned on said tube such that said tube is configured for grasping in a hand of the user for positioning said housing proximate to hard-to-reach areas of the body of the user, wherein a respective said attachment is positioned on said housing such that said respective said attachment is configured for scrubbing the body of the user.
2. The assembly of claim 1 further comprising:
said housing defining an interior space;
each said attachment is positioned for selectively fluidically coupling to said housing; and
wherein said housing is positioned on said tube such that said housing is configured for positioning liquid soap in said interior space.
3. The assembly of claim 1, further including said tube being substantially circularly shaped when viewed longitudinally.
4. The assembly of claim 2, further including a plurality of holes positioned in said bottom of said housing, wherein said holes are positioned in said housing such that said holes are configured for flowing of the liquid soap through said bottom of said housing, said plurality of holes comprising four said holes.
5. The assembly of claim 4, further including each said attachment comprising:
a ring complementary to said bottom of said housing;
a plate having a first face coupled to a terminus of said ring;
a plurality of orifices positioned through said plate;
a tool coupled to and extending from a second face of said plate, said tool being water permeable; and
wherein said plurality of orifices is positioned through said plate such that said plurality of orifices is configured for flowing of the liquid soap through said plate, wherein said tool is positioned on said plate such that said tool is configured for scrubbing the body of the user.
6. The assembly of claim 5, further including said tool comprising sponge.
7. The assembly of claim 6, further including said tool comprising natural sponge.
8. The assembly of claim 5, further including said tool comprising a plurality of bristles.
9. The assembly of claim 1, further including a grip coupled proximate to a second end of said tube, wherein said grip is positioned on said tube such that said grip is configured for grasping in a hand of a user, said grip comprising rubber.
10. The assembly of claim 2, further comprising:
a penetration positioned in said top of said housing, said penetration being internally threaded;
a plug complementary to said penetration, said plug being configured for reversibly coupling to said housing for closing said penetration; and
wherein said penetration is positioned in said housing such that said penetration is configured for adding the liquid soap to said interior space.
11. The assembly of claim 1, further including a connector coupled to a second end of said tube, said connector being configured for coupling said tube to a surface proximate to a bathing area, wherein said connector is positioned on said tube such that said connector is configured for coupling said tube to the surface proximate to the bathing area.
12. The assembly of claim 11, further including said connector comprising a strap having opposing ends, each said opposing end being coupled to said second end of said tube defining a loop, wherein said loop is positioned on said tube such that said loop is configured for inserting a hook coupled to the surface proximate to the bathing area for coupling said tube to the surface proximate to the bathing area.
13. The assembly of claim 12, further including said strap comprising rubber.
14. A soap-dispensing bathing wand assembly comprising:
a tube, said tube being arcuate, said tube being substantially circularly shaped when viewed longitudinally;
a housing defining an interior space, said housing being coupled to and extending from a first end of said tube, said housing comprising an annular wall coupled to and extending between a top and a bottom, said top and said bottom being circularly shaped, said housing being externally threaded adjacent to said bottom, said housing being configured for positioning liquid soap in said interior space, wherein said housing is positioned on said tube such that said housing is configured for positioning the liquid soap in said interior space, wherein said housing is positioned on said tube such that said tube is configured for grasping in a hand of a user for positioning said housing proximate to hard-to-reach areas of a body of the user;
a plurality of holes positioned in said bottom of said housing, wherein said holes are positioned in said housing such that said holes are configured for flowing of the liquid soap through said bottom of said housing, said plurality of holes comprising four said holes;
a plurality of attachments complementary to said bottom of said housing such that each said attachment is positioned for selectively fluidically coupling to said housing, said attachments being configured for scrubbing the body of the user, wherein a respective said attachment is positioned on said housing such that said respective said attachment is configured for scrubbing the body of the user, each said attachment comprising:
a ring complementary to said bottom of said housing,
a plate having a first face coupled to a terminus of said ring,
a plurality of orifices positioned through said plate, wherein said plurality of orifices is positioned through said plate such that said plurality of orifices is configured for flowing of the liquid soap through said plate, and
a tool coupled to and extending from a second face of said plate, said tool being water permeable, wherein said tool is positioned on said plate such that said tool is configured for scrubbing the body of the user, said tool comprising sponge, said tool comprising natural sponge, said tool comprising a plurality of bristles; and
a grip coupled to a second end of said tube, wherein said grip is positioned on said tube such that said grip is configured for grasping in a hand of a user, said grip comprising rubber;
a penetration positioned in said top of said housing, said penetration being internally threaded, wherein said penetration is positioned in said housing such that said penetration is configured for adding the liquid soap to said interior space;
a plug complementary to said penetration, said plug being configured for reversibly coupling to said housing for closing said penetration;
a connector coupled to said second end of said tube, said connector being configured for coupling said tube to a surface proximate to a bathing area, wherein said connector is positioned on said tube such that said connector is configured for coupling said tube to the surface proximate to the bathing area, said connector comprising a strap having opposing ends, each said opposing end being coupled to said second end of said tube defining a loop, wherein said loop is positioned on said tube such that said loop is configured for inserting a hook coupled to the surface proximate to the bathing area for coupling said tube to the surface proximate to the bathing area, said strap comprising rubber; and
wherein said penetration is positioned in said housing such that said penetration is configured for adding the liquid soap to said interior space, wherein said grip is positioned on said tube such that said grip is configured for grasping in the hand of the user for positioning said housing proximate to the hard-to-reach areas of the body of the user, wherein said holes are positioned in said housing such that said holes are configured for flowing of the liquid soap through said bottom of said housing, wherein said plurality of orifices is positioned through said plate such that said plurality of orifices is configured for flowing of the liquid soap through said plate, wherein said tool is positioned on said plate such that said tool is configured for scrubbing the body of the user, wherein said loop is positioned on said tube such that said loop is configured for inserting the hook coupled to the surface proximate to the bathing area for coupling said tube to the surface proximate to the bathing area.
