Abstract

Disclosed herein is a packing box having a dish structure and, more particularly, a packing box having a dish structure allowing the box to be deformed for use as a dish. The packing box includes a polygonal bottom portion (100), a sidewall portion (200) extending from an edge of the bottom portion (100) to form a wall member on the bottom portion (100), a wing portion (300) extending from the sidewall portion (200) to connect corners of the sidewall portion (200) such that the sidewall portion (200) takes a form unfolded outward on the bottom portion (100), and a fixing portion (400) formed at the wing portion (300) and the sidewall portion (200) to allow the wing portion (300) and the sidewall portion (200) to be fastened to each other such that the sidewall portion (200) is fixed by being unfolded outward on the bottom portion (100).

    CROSS REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATION
  • This application claims the benefit of Korean Patent Application No. 10-2013-0043734, filed on Apr. 19, 2013, entitled “PACKING BOX HAVING DISH STRUCTURE”, which is incorporated herein by reference in its entirety.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • 1. Field of the Invention
  • The present invention relates to a packing box having a dish structure allowing the box to be deformed for use as a dish.
  • 2. Description of the Related Art
  • A box is generally designed to have a size securely accommodating a whole product or item to prevent damage to contents of the box caused by rocking or shock caused by empty space in the box.
  • Accordingly, the box has a narrow space. This makes it difficult to easily and conveniently put or retrieve an item fitting the box in or from the box.
  • In addition, disposable boxes are commonly used to pack food or food products. Particularly, boxes for packing of instant food including hamburgers and pizza are usually disposed of without being recycled after use.
  • For example, boxes used in packing pizza only function to pack the pizza and are not usable as dishes. Thus, separate dishes need be used to serve pieces the pizza.
  • As described above, boxes used in packing instant food have a disadvantage of requiring separate dishes to be used to eat the packed food.
  • In addition, most boxes used to pack instant food are formed according to the size of food to be packaged, thereby making it inconvenient to take the food out of the boxes.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • Therefore, the present invention has been made in view of the above problems, and it is an object of the present invention to provide a packing box having a dish structure allowing the box to be deformed for use as a dish to eat food contained in the box without using a separate dish.
  • It is another object of the present invention to provide a packing box having a dish structure allowing food contained in the packing box to be readily taken out.
  • It is a further object of the present invention to provide a packing box having a dish structure which is easy to fabricate and usable for packing and as a dish.
  • In accordance with the present invention, the above and other objects can be accomplished by the provision of a packing box having a dish structure including a polygonal bottom portion (100), a sidewall portion (200) extending from an edge of the bottom portion (100) to form a wall member on the bottom portion (100), a wing portion (300) extending from the sidewall portion (200) to connect corners of the sidewall portion (200) such that the sidewall portion (200) takes a form unfolded outward on the bottom portion (100), and a fixing portion (400) formed at the wing portion (300) and the sidewall portion (200) to allow the wing portion (300) and the sidewall portion (200) to be fastened to each other such that the sidewall portion (200) is fixed by being unfolded outward on the bottom portion (100).
  • The sidewall portion (200) may includes first sidewalls (210 and 210′) extending from opposing sides of the bottom portion (100) and facing each other to form sidewalls on the bottom portion (100) when folded up, and second sidewalls (220 and 220′) extending from other opposing sides of the bottom portion (100) and facing each other to form other sidewalls on the bottom portion (100).
  • The first sidewalls (210 and 210′) may include inner sidewalls (212 and 212′) extending from the bottom portion (100) and facing each other to form an inner wall member on the bottom portion (100), outer sidewalls (214 and 214′) extending from the inner sidewalls (212 and 212′) to form an outer wall member on the bottom portion (100), and fixing surfaces (216 and 216′) extending from the outer sidewalls (214 and 214′) and fixed to the lower surface of the bottom portion (100).
  • The wing portion (300) may extend from the second sidewalls (220 and 220′) and be formed between the corners of the first sidewalls (210 and 210′) and the second sidewalls (220 and 220′) such that the wing portion (300) is inserted into or withdrawn from a space formed by folding the first sidewalls (210 and 210′) in an overlapping manner.
  • The fixing portion (400) may include a fixing segment (410) formed at the wing portion (300), and a fixing groove (420) formed at the sidewall portion (200) by perforating the sidewall portion (200) to allow the fixing segment (410) to be fixed when introduced into the fixing groove (420).
  • The wing portion (300) may include a moving surface (310) extending in a fan shape from the second sidewalls (220 and 220′) and moving inside the first sidewalls (210 and 210′), and a fold surface 320 extending from the moving surface (310) and folded inward of the moving surface (310).
  • The fixing segment (410) may be coupled to the fixing groove (420) such that the wing portion (300) is fixed after being partially withdrawn from an inner space formed by folding the sidewall portion (200).
  • The bottom portion (100) may have a shape selected from among a triangle, quadrangle, pentagon, hexagon, and octagon.
  • The wing portion (300) may include a moving surface (310) extending in a fan shape from the second sidewalls (220 and 220′) and moving inside the first sidewalls (210 and 210′), and a cutoff surface (330) extending from the second sidewalls (220 and 220′) and cut off from the moving surface (310) to be fastened to the first sidewalls (210 and 210′).
  • The fixing portion (400) may include a fastening segment (430) extending from the cutoff surface (330), and a fastening groove (440) formed at the first sidewalls (210 and 210′) by perforation to allow the fastening segment (430) to be fixed when introduced into the fastening groove (440).
  • The sidewall portion (200) may extend from each side of the bottom portion (100) and forms sidewalls on the bottom portion (100) by being folded at least once.

  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

  • Hereinafter, the preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings so as to allow those skilled in the art to readily implement the present invention.
  • In the detailed description given below, technical configuration (particularly, a wing portion and a fixing portion) of a packing box having a dish structure allowing, for example, a box for packing to be deformed to be used as a dish may be equally applied throughout.
  • FIG. 1 is a view illustrating a packing box having a dish structure according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, FIG. 2 is a view illustrating another use of a packing box having a dish structure according to one embodiment, and FIG. 3 is an unfolded view illustrating a packing box having a dish structure according to one embodiment.
  • Referring to FIGS. 1 to 3, a packing box having a dish structure includes a polygonal bottom portion 100.
  • Herein, the bottom portion 100 forms a plate-shaped bottom surface and may take any shape selected from among a triangle, quadrangle, pentagon, hexagon and octagon.
  • The lower surface of the bottom portion 100 is supported on the ground, and various objects to be accommodated such as food or a tool are placed on the upper surface of the bottom portion 100.
  • In addition, the edge of the bottom portion 100 is provided with a sidewall portion 200 extending from the edge to form a wall member on the bottom portion 100.
  • The sidewall portion 200 is also provided with a wing portion 300 extending from the sidewall portion 200 to connect the corners of the sidewall portion 200 such that the sidewall portion 200 takes a form unfolded outward on the bottom portion 100.
  • The packing box also includes a fixing portion 400 formed at the wing portion 300 and the sidewall portion 200 to allow the wing portion 300 and the sidewall portion 200 to be fastened to each other such that the sidewall portion 200 is fixed by being unfolded outward on the bottom portion 100.
  • As the sidewall portion 200 is formed at the edge of the bottom portion 100 as above, an accommodation space to accommodate an object is formed.
  • The sidewall portion 200 includes first sidewalls 210 and 210′ extending from opposing sides of the bottom portion 100 and facing each other to form sidewalls on the bottom portion 100 when folded up.
  • The sidewall portion 200 also includes second sidewalls 220 and 220′ extending from other opposing sides of the bottom portion 100 and facing each other to form the sidewalls on the bottom portion 100.
  • The corners of the sidewall portion 200 in the longitudinal direction are connected to each other by the wing portion 300 such that the sidewall portion 200 forms a dish shape when partially unfolded to be inclined outward of the bottom portion 100.
  • That is, when the corners of the sidewall portion 200 in the longitudinal direction are connected by the wing portion 300, the sidewall portion 200 is inclined outward of the bottom portion 100 to form a dish shape.
  • Herein, the fixing portion 400 is formed at the first sidewalls 210 and 210′ of the sidewall portion 200 and the wing portion 300. Thereby, it allows the wing portion 300 to be fastened to the first sidewalls 210 and 210′ to maintain a dish shape when the sidewall portion 200 is inclined outward of the bottom portion 100 to form the dish shape.
  • In addition, the first sidewalls 210 and 210′ include inner sidewalls 212 and 212′ extending from the bottom portion 100 and facing each other to form an inner wall member on the bottom portion 100, outer sidewalls 214 and 214′ extending from the inner sidewalls 212 and 212′ to form an outer wall member on the bottom portion 100, and fixing surfaces 216 and 216′ extending from the outer sidewalls 214 and 214′ and fixed to the lower surface of the bottom portion 100.
  • Herein, the first sidewalls 210 and 210′ and second sidewalls 220 and 220′ of the sidewall portion 200 are vertically erected to form walls on the bottom portion 100, while the fixing surfaces 216 and 216′ of the first sidewalls 210 and 210′ are fixed to the lower surface of the bottom portion 100.
  • At this time, the fixing surfaces 216 and 216′ are securely fixed to the lower surface of the bottom portion 100 through various adhesive materials including an adhesive and an adhesive tape.
  • As shown in FIG. 1, when the wing portion 300 is fully introduced into the space formed by overlapping of the inner sidewalls 212 and 212′ and outer sidewalls 214 and 214′ of the first sidewalls 210 and 210′, the first sidewalls 210 and 210′ and the second sidewalls 220 and 220′ are perpendicularly erected on the bottom portion 100 generally in the form of a box shape, and an object to be accommodated is accommodated in the box shape.
  • As shown in FIG. 2, when the wing portion 300 is partially withdrawn from the space formed by overlapping of the inner sidewalls 212 and 212′ and outer sidewalls 214 and 214′ of the first sidewalls 210 and 210′ and is connected and fixed to the first sidewalls 210 and 210′ and the second sidewalls 220 and 220′ by the fixing portion 400, the first sidewalls 210 and 210′ and the second sidewalls 220 and 220′ are erected by being inclined outward of the bottom portion 100. As the sidewall portion 200 is held inclined with respect to the bottom portion 100, the box shape is transformed into a dish shape and thus the box forming the dish shape may be used as a dish.
  • To this end, the section in which the bottom portion 100 is connected to the inner sidewalls 212 and 212′ is provided with first bottom boundary lines 150 and 150′ to guide the inner sidewalls 212 and 212′ such that the inner sidewalls 212 and 212′ are folded in with respect to the bottom portion 100, as shown in FIG. 3.
  • In addition, the section in which the inner sidewalls 212 and 212′ are connected to the outer sidewalls 214 and 214′ is provided with inner wall boundary lines 215 and 215′ to guide the outer sidewalls 214 and 214′ such that the outer sidewalls 214 and 214′ are folded out with respect to the inner sidewalls 212 and 212′.
  • Further, the section in which the outer sidewalls 214 and 214′ are connected to the fixing surfaces 216 and 216′ is provided with outer wall boundary lines 217 and 217′ to guide the fixing surfaces 216 and 216′ such that the fixing surfaces 216 and 216′ are folded out with respect to the outer sidewalls 214 and 214′.
  • The section in which the second sidewalls 220 and 220′ forming the other sidewalls on the bottom portion 100 are connected to the bottom portion 100 is provided with second bottom boundary lines 170 and 170′ to guide the second sidewalls 220 and 220′ such that the second sidewalls 220 and 220′ are folded in with respect to the bottom portion 100.
  • Meanwhile, the wing portion 300 extends from the second sidewalls 220 and 220′ and is formed between the boundary surfaces of the first sidewalls 210 and 210′ and the second sidewalls 220 and 220′ vertically adjoining each other such that the wing portion 300 is inserted into or withdrawn from a space formed by folding the first sidewalls 210 and 210′ in an overlapping manner when the first and second sidewalls 210, 210′, 220 and 220′ are erected on the bottom portion 100.
  • The wing portion 300 includes a moving surface 310 extending in a fan shape from the second sidewalls 220 and 220′ and moving inside the first sidewalls 210 and 210′, and a fold surface 320 extending from the moving surface 310 and folded inward of the moving surface 310.
  • Herein, the moving surface 310 extends from the second sidewalls 220 and 220′, and the fold surface 320 is disposed in parallel with the first sidewalls 210 and 210′ and cut off from the first sidewalls 210 and 210′.
  • To this end, the section in which the second sidewalls 220 and 220′ are connected to the moving surface 310 is provided with a movement boundary line 315 to guide the moving surface 310 such that the moving surface 310 is folded in with respect to the second sidewalls 220 and 220′.
  • In addition, the section in which the moving surface 310 is connected to the fold surface 320 is provided with a fold boundary line 325 to guide the fold surface 320 such that the fold surface 320 is folded in with respect to the moving surface 310.
  • In this configuration, when the sidewall portion 200 is inclined outward of the bottom portion 100 with the wing portion 300 connecting the corners of the sidewall portion 200 in the longitudinal direction, the bottom portion 100 and the sidewall portion 200 form a dish shape.
  • The fixing portion 400 includes a fixing segment 410 formed at the wing portion 300 and a fixing groove 420 formed at the sidewall portion 200 by perforating the sidewall portion 200 to allow the fixing segment 410 to be fixed when introduced into the fixing groove 420.
  • The fixing segment 410 is coupled to the fixing groove 420 such that the wing portion 300 is fixed after being partially withdrawn from the inner space formed by folding the sidewall portion 200.
  • In this way, the wing portion 300 is securely fixed in the space between the neighboring boundary lines of the first sidewalls 210 and 210′ and the second sidewalls 220 and 220′ with the sidewall portion 200 erected on the bottom portion 100 and disposed inclined outward of the bottom portion 100 through the configuration of the fixing portion 400.
  • As a result, as the wing portion 300 is fixed by being withdrawn from the space formed by overlapping the inner sidewalls 212 and 212′ and the outer sidewalls 214 and 214′ of the first sidewalls 210 and 210′ with the sidewall portion 200 erected on the bottom portion 100, the sidewall portion 200 is inclined with respect to the bottom portion 100 to generally form a dish shape.
  • FIG. 4 is a view illustrating main parts of a packing box having a dish structure according to one embodiment of the present invention.
  • Referring to FIG. 4 in addition to FIGS. 1 to 3, the bottom portion 100 has a quadrangular shape. Thereby, the sidewall portion 200 forms a quadrangular box shape when vertically erected on the bottom portion 100.
  • At this time, if the wing portion 300 is drawn out of the interior of the sidewall portion 200 and fixed in the withdrawn position through the fixing portion 400, the sidewall portion 200 erected and inclined outward of the bottom portion 100 forms a dish shape.
  • The sidewall portion 200 includes first sidewalls 210 and 210′ extending from opposite sides of the bottom portion 100 and facing each other to form sidewalls on the bottom portion 100 when folded up.
  • The sidewall portion 200 also includes second sidewalls 220 and 220′ extending from the other opposing sides of the bottom portion 100 and facing each other to form the other sidewalls on the bottom portion 100.
  • The first sidewalls 210 and 210′ include inner sidewalls 212 and 212′ extending from the bottom portion 100 and facing each other to form inner walls on the bottom portion 100, outer sidewalls 214 and 214′ extending from the inner sidewalls 212 and 212′ to form outer walls on the bottom portion 100, and fixing surfaces 216 and 216′ extending from outer sidewalls 214 and 214′ and fixed to the lower surface of the bottom portion 100.
  • In addition, the corners of the sidewall portion 200 in the longitudinal direction are connected to each other by the wing portion 300 such that the sidewall portion 200 forms a dish shape when inclined outward of the bottom portion 100 by being partially unfolded.
  • The wing portion 300 includes a moving surface 310 extending in the shape of a fan from the second sidewalls 220 and 220′ and adapted to move inside the first sidewalls 210 and 210′, and a fold surface 320 extending from the moving surface 310 and adapted to be folded inward of the moving surface 310.
  • In addition, a fixing portion 400 is formed at the wing portion 300 and the sidewall portion 200 to allow the wing portion 300 and the sidewall portion 200 to be fastened to each other such that the sidewall portion 200 is fixed by being unfolded outward of the bottom portion 100.
  • The fixing portion 400 includes a fixing segment 410 formed at the wing portion 300 and a fixing groove 420 formed at the first sidewalls 210 and 210′ by perforation to allow the fixing segment 410 to be fixed when introduced into the fixing groove 420.
  • Herein, the fixing portion 400 is formed at the first sidewalls 210 and 210′ of the sidewall portion 200 and the wing portion 300. Thereby, the wing portion 300 can be fastened to the first sidewalls 210 and 210′ to maintain a dish shape when the sidewall portion 200 is inclined outward of the bottom portion 100 to form the dish shape.
  • The process of transformation from the box shape into the dish shape is performed in a manner described below. The inner sidewalls 212 and 212′ of the first sidewalls 210 and 210′ are vertically erected on the bottom portion 100, and the outer sidewalls 214 and 214′ are folded with respect to the inner sidewalls 212 and 212′ such that the inner sidewalls 212 and 212′ and the outer sidewalls 214 and 214′ overlap each other with a space formed therebetween.
  • Then, the fixing surfaces 216 and 216′ are folded with respect to the outer sidewalls 214 and 214′ such that the fixing surfaces 216 and 216′ contacts the lower surface of the bottom portion 100.
  • Herein, the fixing surfaces 216 and 216′ are fixed to the lower surface of the bottom portion 100 by an adhesive material.
  • At the same time, the second sidewalls 220 and 220′ are vertically erected on the bottom portion 100, and the fold surface 320 is folded in with respect to the moving surface 310 of the wing portion 300 extending from the second sidewalls 220 and 220′.
  • Herein, the fold surface 320 is folded about the fold boundary line 325 with respect to moving surface 310. The fold surface 320 may be folded out with respect to the moving surface 310 as desired by the user.
  • At this time, the moving surface 310 is folded by moving from the second sidewalls 220 and 220′ toward the first sidewalls 210 and 210′.
  • That is, the wing portion 300 is introduced into the space between the inner sidewalls 212 and 212′ and the outer sidewalls 214 and 214′ of the first sidewalls 210 and 210′.
  • Subsequently, the moving surface 310 may be withdrawn from the space between the inner sidewalls 212 and 212′ and the outer sidewalls 214 and 214′ such that the fixing segment 410 of the fixing portion 400, which is formed at the fold surface 320, is fastened to the fixing groove 420 formed in the section in which the inner sidewalls 212 and 212′ and the outer sidewalls 214 and 214′ are connected to each other.
  • Once the fixing segment 410 is fastened to the fixing groove 420, the first sidewalls 210 and 210′ and the second sidewalls 220 and 220′ are inclined with respect to the bottom portion 100, forming a dish shape.
  • In addition, when the wing portion 300 is introduced into the space between the inner sidewalls 212 and 212′ and the outer sidewalls 214 and 214′, the overall shape is transformed from a dish shape into a box shape.
  • FIG. 5 is an unfolded view illustrating a packing box having a dish structure according to another embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 6 is a view illustrating an embodiment according to FIG. 5.
  • Referring to FIGS. 5 and 6, the packing box having a dish structure includes a polygonal bottom portion 100.
  • Herein, the bottom portion 100 forms a plate-shaped bottom surface and may have a shape selected from among a triangle, quadrangle, pentagon, hexagon, and octagon.
  • In addition, the edge of the bottom portion 100 is provided with a sidewall portion 200 extending from the edge to form a wall on the bottom portion 100.
  • The sidewall portion 200 includes first sidewalls 210 and 210′ extending from opposing sides of the bottom portion 100 and facing each other to form sidewalls on the bottom portion 100 when folded up.
  • The sidewall portion 200 also includes second sidewalls 220 and 220′ extending from the other opposing sides of the bottom portion 100 and facing each other to form the other sidewalls on the bottom portion 100.
  • In addition, the sidewall portion 200 is provided with a wing portion 300 extending from the sidewall portion 200 to connect the corners of the sidewall portion 200 such that the sidewall portion 200 takes a form unfolded outward on the bottom portion 100.
  • The corners of the sidewall portion 200 in the longitudinal direction are connected to each other by the wing portion 300 such that the sidewall portion 200 forms a dish shape when partially unfolded to be inclined outward of the bottom portion 100.
  • A fixing portion 400 is formed at the wing portion 300 and the sidewall portion 200 to allow the wing portion 300 and the sidewall portion 200 to be fastened to each other such that the sidewall portion 200 is fixed by being unfolded outward of the bottom portion 100.
  • Herein, the fixing portion 400 is formed at the first sidewalls 210 and 210′ of the sidewall portion 200 and the wing portion 300. Thereby, the wing portion 300 can be fastened to the first sidewalls 210 and 210′ to maintain a dish shape when the sidewall portion 200 is inclined outward of the bottom portion 100 to form the dish shape.
  • In addition, the first sidewalls 210 and 210′ include inner sidewalls 212 and 212′ extending from the bottom portion 100 and facing each other to form inner walls on the bottom portion 100, outer sidewalls 214 and 214′ extending from the inner sidewalls 212 and 212′ to form outer walls on the bottom portion 100, and fixing surfaces 216 and 216′ extending from outer sidewalls 214 and 214′ and fixed to the lower surface of the bottom portion 100.
  • Herein, the first sidewalls 210 and 210′ and second sidewalls 220 and 220′ of the sidewall portion 200 are longitudinally erected on the bottom portion 100, while the fixing surfaces 216 and 216′ of the first sidewalls 210 and 210′ are fixed to the lower surface of the bottom portion 100.
  • At this time, the fixing surfaces 216 and 216′ are securely fixed to the lower surface of the bottom portion 100 through various adhesive materials including an adhesive and an adhesive tape.
  • As shown in FIG. 6, when the wing portion 300 is partially withdrawn from the inner sidewalls 212 and 212′ and outer sidewalls 214 and 214′ of the first sidewalls 210 and 210′ and is connected and fixed to the first sidewalls 210 and 210′ and the second sidewalls 220 and 220′ by the fixing portion 400, the first sidewalls 210 and 210′ and the second sidewalls 220 and 220′ are erected by being inclined outward of the bottom portion 100. Thereby, the box forming the dish shape may be used as a dish.
  • To this end, the section in which the bottom portion 100 is connected to the inner sidewalls 212 and 212′ is provided with first bottom boundary lines 150 and 150′ to guide the inner sidewalls 212 and 212′ such that the inner sidewalls 212 and 212′ are folded in with respect to the bottom portion 100, as shown in FIG. 5.
  • In addition, the section in which the inner sidewalls 212 and 212′ are connected to the outer sidewalls 214 and 214′ is provided with inner wall boundary lines 215 and 215′ to guide the outer sidewalls 214 and 214′ such that the outer sidewalls 214 and 214′ are folded out with respect to the 212 and 212′.
  • Further, the section in which the outer sidewalls 214 and 214′ are connected to the fixing surfaces 216 and 216′ is provided with outer wall boundary lines 217 and 217′ to guide the fixing surfaces 216 and 216′ such that the fixing surfaces 216 and 216′ are folded out with respect to the outer sidewalls 214 and 214′.
  • The section in which the second sidewalls 220 and 220′ configuring the other sidewalls on the bottom portion 100 are connected to the bottom portion 100 is provided with second bottom boundary lines 170 and 170′ to guide the second sidewalls 220 and 220′ such that the second sidewalls 220 and 220′ are folded in with respect to the bottom portion 100.
  • Meanwhile, the wing portion 300 extends from the 220220′ and is formed between the corners of the first and second sidewalls 210, 210′, 220 and 220′ such that the wing portion 300 is inserted into or withdrawn from a space formed by folding the first sidewalls 210 and 210′ in an overlapping manner.
  • The wing portion 300 includes a moving surface 310 extending in a fan shape from the second sidewalls 220 and 220′ and moving inside the first sidewalls 210 and 210′, and a cutoff surface 330 extending from the second sidewalls 220 and 220′ and cut off from the moving surface 310 to be fastened to the first sidewalls 210 and 210′.
  • Herein, the moving surface 310 extends from the second sidewalls 220 and 220′, and the cutoff surface 330 also extends from the second sidewalls 220 and 220′ in a manner that it is disposed in parallel with the moving surface 310 and cut off from the moving surface 310.
  • To this end, the section in which the moving surface 310 and the cutoff surface 330 are formed is provided with a cutting line 335 to be cut off to allow the cutoff surface 330 to be separately introduced into the first sidewalls 210 and 210′.
  • In this configuration, when the sidewall portion 200 is inclined outward of the bottom portion 100 with the wing portion 300 connecting the corners of the sidewall portion 200 in the longitudinal direction, the bottom portion 100 and the sidewall portion 200 may form a dish shape.
  • The fixing portion 400 includes a fastening segment 430 extending from the cutoff surface 330 and a fastening groove 440 formed at the first sidewalls 210 and 210′ by perforation to allow the fastening segment 430 to be fixed when introduced into the fastening groove 440.
  • The fastening segment 430 is coupled to the fastening groove 440 such that the wing portion 300 is fixed after being partially withdrawn from the inner space formed by folding the inner sidewalls 212 and 212′ and the outer sidewalls 214 and 214′ of the first sidewalls 210 and 210′.
  • Preferably, the fastening groove 440 is formed by diagonally perforating the inner sidewalls 212 and 212′, and the fastening segment 430 is folded with respect to the cutoff surface 330 and fastened to the fastening groove 440 by penetrating the fastening groove 440.
  • In this way, the wing portion 300 is securely fixed in the space between the neighboring boundary lines of the first sidewalls 210 and 210′ and the second sidewalls 220 and 220′ with the sidewall portion 200 held inclined outward of the bottom portion 100 through the configuration of the fixing portion 400.
  • Particularly, the cutoff surface 330 and fastening segment 430 may be disposed to closely contact the inner surface of the inner sidewalls 212 and 212′ of the first sidewalls 210 and 210′.
  • In this case, the fastening segment 430 is fastened to the fastening groove 440 as the cutoff surface 330 is disposed to closely contact the inner surface of the inner sidewalls 212 and 212′ and the fastening segment 430 is introduced, through the fastening groove 440, into the inner space between the inner sidewalls 212 and 212′ and the outer sidewalls 214 and 214′ which are in the folded position from the outside of the inner sidewalls 212 and 212′.
  • Herein, the fixing portion 400 is formed at the first sidewalls 210 and 210′ of the sidewall portion 200 and the wing portion 300. Thereby, the wing portion 300 can be fastened to the first sidewalls 210 and 210′ to maintain a dish shape when the sidewall portion 200 is inclined outward of the bottom portion 100 to form the dish shape.
  • As the wing portion 300 is fixed by being withdrawn from the space formed by folding the first sidewalls 210 and 210′ with the sidewall portion 200 erected on the bottom portion 100, the sidewall portion 200 is inclined with respect to the bottom portion 100 to generally form a dish shape.
  • FIG. 7 is a view illustrating a packing box having a dish structure according to another embodiment of the present invention.
  • Referring to FIG. 7, a packing box having a dish structure includes a polygonal bottom portion 100.
  • The packing box further includes a sidewall portion 200 extending from the edge of the bottom portion 100 to form a wall member on the bottom portion 100.
  • The sidewall portion 200 is provided with a wing portion 300 extending from the sidewall portion 200 to connect the corners of the sidewall portion 200 such that the sidewall portion 200 takes a form unfolded outward on the bottom portion 100.
  • The packing box also includes a fixing portion 400 formed at the wing portion 300 and the sidewall portion 200 to allow the wing portion 300 and the sidewall portion 200 to be fastened to each other such that the sidewall portion 200 is fixed by being unfolded outward on the bottom portion 100.
  • As the sidewall portion 200 is formed at the bottom portion 100 as above, an accommodation space to accommodate an object is formed.
  • The sidewall portion 200 includes first sidewalls 210 and 210′ extending from opposing sides of the bottom portion 100 and facing each other to form sidewalls on the bottom portion 100 when folded up.
  • The sidewall portion 200 also includes second sidewalls 220 and 220′ extending from the other opposing sides of the bottom portion 100 and facing each other to form the other sidewalls on the bottom portion 100.
  • Thereby, the first sidewalls 210 and 210′ extend from sides of the bottom portion 100 facing each other, and the second sidewalls 220 and 220′ extend from the other sides of the bottom portion 100 facing each other which are different from the sides of the bottom portion 100 at which the first sidewalls 210 and 210′ are formed.
  • The first sidewalls 210 and 210′ and the second sidewalls 220 and 220′ form the sidewall members by being folded at least once at each side of the bottom portion 100.
  • The corners of the sidewall portion 200 in the longitudinal direction are connected to each other by the wing portion 300 such that the sidewall portion 200 forms a dish shape when partially unfolded to be inclined outward of the bottom portion 100.
  • That is, when the corners of the sidewall portion 200 in the longitudinal direction are connected through the wing portion 300, the sidewall portion 200 is inclined outward of the bottom portion 100 to form a dish shape.
  • Herein, the fixing portion 400 is formed at the first sidewalls 210 and 210′ of the sidewall portion 200 and the wing portion 300. Thereby, the wing portion 300 can be fastened to the first sidewalls 210 and 210′ to maintain a dish shape when the sidewall portion 200 is inclined outward of the bottom portion 100 to form the dish shape.
  • In addition, the first sidewalls 210 and 210′ include inner sidewalls 212 and 212′ extending from the bottom portion 100 and facing each other to form an inner wall member on the bottom portion 100, outer sidewalls 214 and 214′ extending from the inner sidewalls 212 and 212′ to form an outer wall member on the bottom portion 100, and fixing surfaces 216 and 216′ extending from outer sidewalls 214 and 214′ and fixed to the lower surface of the bottom portion 100.
  • The second sidewalls 220 and 220′ include second inner sidewalls 222 and 222′ extending from the bottom portion 100 and facing each other to form an inner wall member on the bottom portion 100, second outer sidewalls 224 and 224′ extending from the second inner sidewalls 222 and 222′ to form an outer wall member on the bottom portion 100, and second fixing surfaces 226 and 226′ extending from second outer sidewalls 224 and 224′ and fixed to the lower surface of the bottom portion 100.
  • Herein, the first sidewalls 210 and 210′ and second sidewalls 220 and 220′ of the sidewall portion 200 are vertically erected to form walls on the bottom portion 100, while the fixing surfaces 216 and 216′ of the first sidewalls 210 and 210′ are fixed to the lower surface of the bottom portion 100, and the second fixing surfaces 226 and 226′ are fixed to the lower surface of the fixing surfaces 216 and 216′.
  • In adhesively fixing the fixing surfaces 216 and 216′ and the second fixing surfaces 226 and 226′ to the lower surface of the bottom portion 100, the fixing surfaces 216 and 216′ are adhered to the lower surface of the bottom portion 100 and then the second fixing surfaces 226 and 226′ are adhered to the lower surface of the fixing surfaces 216 and 216′. The fixing process may be performed in the reverse order.
  • At this time, the fixing surfaces 216 and 216′ and the second fixing surfaces 226 and 226′ are securely fixed to the lower surface of the bottom portion 100 through various adhesive materials including an adhesive and an adhesive tape.
  • The section in which the bottom portion 100 is connected to the inner sidewalls 212 and 212′ is provided with first bottom boundary lines 150 and 150′ to guide the inner sidewalls 212 and 212′ such that the inner sidewalls 212 and 212′ are folded in with respect to the bottom portion 100.
  • In addition, the section in which the inner sidewalls 212 and 212′ are connected to the outer sidewalls 214 and 214′ is provided with inner wall boundary lines 215 and 215′ to guide the outer sidewalls 214 and 214′ such that the outer sidewalls 214 and 214′ are folded out with respect to the inner sidewalls 212 and 212′.
  • Further, the section in which the outer sidewalls 214 and 214′ are connected to the fixing surfaces 216 and 216′ is provided with outer wall boundary lines 217 and 217′ to guide the fixing surfaces 216 and 216′ such that the fixing surfaces 216 and 216′ are folded out with respect to the outer sidewalls 214 and 214′.
  • The section in which the second sidewalls 220 and 220′ forming the other sidewalls on the bottom portion 100 are connected to the bottom portion 100 is provided with second bottom boundary lines 170 and 170′ to guide the second sidewalls 220 and 220′ such that the second sidewalls 220 and 220′ are folded in with respect to the bottom portion 100.
  • The section in which the second inner sidewalls 222 and 222′ are connected to the second outer sidewalls 224 and 224′ is provided with second inner wall boundary lines 225 and 225′ to guide the second outer sidewalls 224 and 224′ such that the second outer sidewalls 224 and 224′ are folded out with respect to the second inner sidewalls 222 and 222
  • The section in which the second outer sidewalls 224 and 224′ are connected to the second fixing surfaces 226 and 226′ is provided with second outer wall boundary lines 227 and 227′ to guide the second fixing surfaces 226 and 226′ such that the second fixing surfaces 226 and 226′ are folded out with respect to the second outer sidewalls 224 and 224′.
  • As a result, the wing portion 300 can be smoothly introduced into and withdrawn from the space formed by overlapping of the inner sidewalls 212 and 212′ and the outer sidewalls 214 and 214′ of the first sidewalls 210 and 210′. Therefore, when the sidewall portion 200 is erected on the bottom portion 100, a box shape or a dish shape is formed.
  • In addition, as the second inner sidewalls 222 and 222′ and the second outer sidewalls 224 and 224′ of the second sidewalls 220 and 220′ overlap each other, the strength of the wall members of the bottom portion 100 may be increased, thereby securely forming a box shape or a dish shape.
  • The wing portion 300 disposed between the first sidewalls 210 and 210′ and the second sidewalls 220 and 220′, the fixing portion 400 formed at the first sidewalls 210 and 210′ of the sidewall portion 200 and the wing portion 300 to allow the wing portion 300 to be fastened to the first sidewalls 210 and 210′ to maintain a dish shape formed when the sidewall portion 200 is inclined outward of the bottom portion 100, and operations according to connection between the sidewall portion 200, the wing portion 300 and the fixing portion 400 are the same as those illustrated in FIG. 3, and therefore description thereof will not be repeated below.
  • Through such configurations as above, a packing box capable of storing food may be easily deformed and used as a dish. In addition, the food stored in the packing box may be readily taken out, and the packing box may be easily fabricated or use both as a packing container and a dish.
  • As is apparent from the above description, a packing box having a dish structure according to an embodiment of the present invention allows the packing container for containing food to be simply deformed for use as a dish.
  • In addition, a packing box having a dish structure according to one embodiment of the present invention allows food contained in the packing box to be readily taken out.
  • Moreover, a packing box having a dish structure according to one embodiment of the present invention may be easy to fabricate and usable both as a packing container and a dish.
  • Although the preferred embodiments of the present invention have been disclosed for illustrative purposes, those skilled in the art will appreciate that various modifications, additions and substitutions are possible, without departing from the scope and spirit of the invention as disclosed in the accompanying claims.

Claims (10)

What is claimed is:
1. A packing box having a dish structure comprising:
a polygonal bottom portion (100);
a sidewall portion (200) extending from an edge of the bottom portion (100) to form a wall member on the bottom portion (100);
a wing portion (300) extending from the sidewall portion (200) to connect corners of the sidewall portion (200) such that the sidewall portion (200) takes a form unfolded outward on the bottom portion (100); and
a fixing portion (400) formed at the wing portion (300) and the sidewall portion (200) to allow the wing portion (300) and the sidewall portion (200) to be fastened to each other such that the sidewall portion (200) is fixed by being unfolded outward on the bottom portion (100),
wherein the fixing portion (400) comprises:
a fixing segment (410) formed at the wing portion (300); and
a fixing groove (420) formed at the sidewall portion (200) by perforation to allow the fixing segment (410) to be fixed when introduced into the fixing groove (420).
2. The packing box according to claim 1, wherein the sidewall portion (200) comprises:
first sidewalls (210 and 210′) extending from opposing sides of the bottom portion (100) and facing each other to form sidewalls on the bottom portion (100) when folded up; and
second sidewalls (220 and 220′) extending from other opposing sides of the bottom portion (100) and facing each other to form other sidewalls on the bottom portion (100).
3. The packing box according to claim 2, wherein the first sidewalls (210 and 210′) comprise:
inner sidewalls (212 and 212′) extending from the bottom portion (100) and facing each other to form an inner wall member on the bottom portion (100);
outer sidewalls (214 and 214′) extending from the inner sidewalls (212 and 212′) to form an outer wall member on the bottom portion (100); and
fixing surfaces (216 and 216′) extending from the outer sidewalls (214 and 214′) and fixed to the lower surface of the bottom portion (100).

The packing box according to claim 2, wherein the wing portion (300) extends from the second sidewalls (220 and 220′) and is formed between the corners of the first sidewalls (210 and 210′) and the second sidewalls (220 and 220′) such that the wing portion (300) is inserted into or withdrawn from a space formed by folding the first sidewalls (210 and 210′) in an overlapping manner.
5. The packing box according to claim 2, wherein the wing portion (300) comprises:
a moving surface (310) extending in a fan shape from the second sidewalls (220 and 220′) and moving inside the first sidewalls (210 and 210′); and
a fold surface 320 extending from the moving surface (310) and folded inward of the moving surface (310).
6. The packing box according to claim 1, wherein the fixing segment (410) is coupled to the fixing groove (420) such that the wing portion (300) is fixed after being partially withdrawn from an inner space formed by folding the sidewall portion (200).
7. The packing box according to claim 1, wherein the bottom portion (100) has a shape selected from among a triangle, quadrangle, pentagon, hexagon, and octagon.
8. The packing box according to claim 2, wherein the wing portion (300) comprises:
a moving surface (310) extending in a fan shape from the second sidewalls (220 and 220′) and moving inside the first sidewalls (210 and 210′); and
a cutoff surface (330) extending from the second sidewalls (220 and 220′) and cut off from the moving surface (310) to be fastened to the first sidewalls (210 and 210′).
9. The packing box according to claim 8, wherein the fixing portion (400) comprises:
a fastening segment (430) extending from the cutoff surface (330); and
a fastening groove (440) formed at the first sidewalls (210 and 210′) by perforation to allow the fastening segment (430) to be fixed when introduced into the fastening groove (440).
10. The packing box according to claim 1, wherein the sidewall portion (200) extends from each side of the bottom portion (100) and forms sidewalls on the bottom portion (100) by being folded at least once.
