Description
- 1. Field of the Invention
- The present invention relates to a cap, and more particularly to a foldable cap that is mounted and folded easily and conveniently, thereby facilitating a user using the cap.
- 2. Description of the Related Art
- A cap is used to shelter a user's head and comprises a visor and a crown. A conventional cap in accordance with the prior art was disclosed in the Taiwanese Patent Publication No. 92205264 and comprises a main body, a visor mounted on the front edge of the main body, and a base plate for clamping and fixing the visor on the front edge of the main body. However, the conventional cap has a fixed structure and cannot be folded, thereby increasing the costs of package and transportation. In addition, the conventional cap has a fixed structure with a larger volume, thereby increasing space of storage thereof.
- In accordance with the present invention, there is provided a cap, comprising a visor having a front edge formed with two first cut lines and having two sides each having a first section formed with a plurality of horizontal second cut lines, a mediate section formed with a plurality of third cut lines and a rear section formed with an insert; and a crown removably mounted on the visor and having a first end provided with two opposite oblique plates and a second end provided with two opposite support strips each having a distal end formed with a plug.
- The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a foldable cap that is mounted and folded easily and conveniently, thereby facilitating a user using the cap.
- Another objective of the present invention is to provide a cap that is foldable, thereby saving space of storage thereof.
- A further objective of the present invention is to provide a cap having a smaller volume before assembly, thereby decreasing the costs of package and transportation.
- A further objective of the present invention is to provide a cap, wherein the visor and the upper portion of the crown are provided with patterns, marks and characters so that the cap functions as a mobile advertising board.
- Further benefits and advantages of the present invention will become apparent after a careful reading of the detailed description with appropriate reference to the accompanying drawings.
-
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a cap in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention; -
FIG. 2 is a front perspective assembly view of the cap as shown inFIG. 1 ; -
FIG. 3 is a rear perspective assembly view of the cap as shown inFIG. 1 ; -
FIG. 4 is a front perspective assembly view of the cap as shown inFIG. 1 ; and -
FIG. 5 is a schematic operational view of the cap as shown inFIG. 1 in use. - Referring to the drawings and initially to
FIGS. 1-3 , a cap in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises avisor 11, and acrown 22. - The
visor 11 is a horseshoe shaped plate. Thevisor 11 has a front edge formed with twofirst cut lines 110 and a plurality ofair guide ports 111. Thevisor 11 has two sides each having a first section formed with a plurality of horizontalsecond cut lines 112, a mediate section formed with a plurality of substantially U-shapedthird cut lines 113 and a rear section formed with aninsert 114. Each of theair guide ports 111 of thevisor 11 includes afolding line 1111 and an arc-shapedair guide plate 1112 removably mounted on thefolding line 1111. Theinsert 114 of one of the two sides of thevisor 11 is selectively inserted into either one of thethird cut lines 113 of the other one of the two sides of thevisor 11 as shown inFIG. 3 so as to adjust the peripheral length of thevisor 11. - The
visor 11 has a periphery provided with afirst strap 115 formed with a plurality of verticalfourth cut lines 1151 and asecond strap 116 detachably connected to thefirst strap 115 and formed with a plurality of substantially V-shapedfifth cut lines 1161 each detachably engaged with a respective one of thefourth cut lines 1151 of thefirst strap 115. Each of thefirst strap 115 and thesecond strap 116 of thevisor 11 is located adjacent to one of the two sides of thevisor 11. Thefirst strap 115 of thevisor 11 has an enlarged distal end formed with thefourth cut lines 1151. Thesecond strap 116 of thevisor 11 is extended through either one of thefourth cut lines 1151 of thefirst strap 115, and each of thefifth cut lines 1161 of thesecond strap 116 is detachably engaged with the respectivefourth cut line 1151 of thefirst strap 115 as shown inFIG. 3 . - The
crown 22 is an oblong plate. Thecrown 22 is removably mounted on thevisor 11 and is connected to thevisor 11 by afolding line 21. Thecrown 22 has a first end provided with two oppositeoblique plates 23 and a second end provided with twoopposite support strips 24 each having a distal end formed with aplug 241 that is selectively inserted into either one of thesecond cut lines 112 of thevisor 11 as shown inFIG. 3 so as to support thecrown 22 on thevisor 11. Each of the two oppositeoblique plates 23 of thecrown 22 is formed by an arc-shaped folding line 231. - In assembly, the
folding line 21 of thecrown 22 is folded upward so that thecrown 22 is inclined relative to thevisor 11 as shown inFIG. 2 . Then, theplug 241 of each of the twosupport strips 24 of thecrown 22 is selectively inserted into either one of thesecond cut lines 112 of thevisor 11 as shown inFIG. 3 so as to support thecrown 22 on thevisor 11 for protecting a user's head. Then, thefolding line 231 of each of the twooblique plates 23 of thecrown 22 is folded inward form each of the twooblique plates 23 as shown inFIG. 2 so as to reduce the air drag applied on thecrown 22. In addition, thecrown 22 has a three-dimensional appearance by provision of the twooblique plates 23. Then, theair guide plate 1112 of each of theair guide ports 111 of thevisor 11 is folded inward to form each of theair guide ports 111 as shown inFIG. 2 so as to provide smooth guidance to an air flow passing through each of theair guide ports 111, thereby preventing thevisor 11 from being blown away by a strong wind. Then, theinsert 114 of one of the two sides of thevisor 11 is selectively inserted into either one of thethird cut lines 113 of the other one of the two sides of thevisor 11 as shown inFIG. 3 to adjust the peripheral length of thevisor 11 so as to fit the user's head of different sizes. - As shown in
FIG. 4 , thecrown 22 is folded forward, and theplug 241 of each of the twosupport strips 24 of thecrown 22 is selectively inserted into a respective one of the twofirst cut lines 110 of thevisor 11 so as to fold thecrown 22. - As shown in
FIGS. 3 and 5 , thesecond strap 116 of thevisor 11 is extended through either one of thefourth cut lines 1151 of thefirst strap 115, and each of thefifth cut lines 1161 of thesecond strap 116 is detachably engaged with the respectivefourth cut line 1151 of thefirst strap 115 so that thefirst strap 115 and thesecond strap 116 are connected to abut the user's chin, and thevisor 11 is fixed on the user's head, thereby attaching the cap on the user's head. - Accordingly, the cap is mounted and folded easily and conveniently, thereby facilitating a user using the cap. In addition, the cap is foldable, thereby saving space of storage thereof. Further, the cap has a smaller volume before assembly, thereby decreasing the costs of package and transportation. Further, the
visor 11 and the upper portion of thecrown 22 are provided with patterns, marks and characters so that the cap functions as a mobile advertising board. - Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment(s) as mentioned above, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the scope of the present invention. It is, therefore, contemplated that the appended claim or claims will cover such modifications and variations that fall within the true scope of the invention.
