Description

Patented May 19, 1936 UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE 1 Claim.
This invention relates to improvements in gloves and consists in the provision of an attachment for gloves whereby the gloves can be conveniently held when not in use.
In accordance with the present invention, a finger loop or the like is provided for ready attachment to a glove whereby a pair of gloves may be held in one finger while shopping or the hands are otherwise busily engaged.
The invention together with its objects and advantages will be best understood from a study of the following description taken in connection with the accompanying drawing wherein:
Figure 1 is an elevational view illustrating the application of the invention, a portion of the glove being broken away.
Figure 2 is a vertical sectional view of the invention.
Figure 3 is a plan view of the attachment per se.
Referring to the drawing by reference numerals it will be seen that the attachment comprises an attaching piece 5 of any suitable material, dimensions and shape and secured to one face of the member 5 is a finger loop 6. The finger loop may be formed of cloth or other suitable material as for example a length of tape, leather or other suitable material the ends of which are secured to the piece 5 by stitching or in any other suitable manner as indicated generally at l to form a loop through which the finger may be passed.
The piece 5 on the face thereof opposite to the loop 6 is coated with an adhesive 8.
In actual practice, the device may be placed in the cuff portion B of a glove G, a ladys dress glove in the present instance being illustrated. Preferably the adhesively coated face of the attaching member 5 is applied to the inner face of the palm side of the glove as will be clear from 5 a study of Figure 1.
With the device thus attached to the glove it will be seen that the finger may be readily slipped through the loop for suspending the glove from the finger. Thus a pair of gloves equipped in 10 accordance with the instructions of the present invention can be readily held by one finger leaving the hand free. 7
Obviously, a glove so equipped in accordance with the teachings of the present invention can be easily carried while shopping, and the gloves being conveniently carried in this manner, the need of laying the gloves on a counter or the like is eliminated with the result that gloves are not likely to be easily lost or misplaced.
Having thus described the invention, what is claimed as new is:
In combination, a glove having a cuff portion, an attaching piece of flexible material adhesively united at one side thereof with the anti of the glove internally of the glove and at the palm side of the glove, and a flexible finger accommodating loop secured at one end to said piece, said finger accommodating loop being concealed wholly within the culf of the glove and extending from said piece in a longitudinal direction toward the edge of the cufi.
