invention relates to improvements in domestic: laundry equipment, and the object of the invention is to incorporate in a laundry structure including a central support,

the supports 8 and 9 are secured bracket members 10 and 11. 12 is a wringer to which the flange 13 of the bracket 11 is suitably secured, the portion 14 forming a gear case for the wringer gears. 15 is a cover which is so constructed as to fit any one of the tubs 7. 16 is a washing paddle which is formed somewhat in the shape of a propeller blade, the main body of the propeller inclining forward at an angle as indicated at 16*, the upper edge being offset towards a horizontal direction to form a lip as indicated at 16.
The paddle 16 is carried upon a vertical shaft 17 which is turnably mounted in the cover 15 supported therein by the collar 17 x which is setscrewed or otherwise suitably secured to the shaft member 17. 17 is the upper member of the paddle shaft which is detachably connected to the member 17 by means of a sleeve 18 which is provided with bayonet slots 19 into which diametrically opposite pins 20 extend from the shaft 17. 21 are open ended slots extending from the lower end of the sleeve into which diametrically opposite pins 22 extend.
It will, therefore, be seen that all it is necessary to do when it is desired to detach the paddle and the lower shaft member 17 from the upper shaft member 17 is to raise the sleeve vertically until the pins 22 are carried clear of the slots 21 and the pins 20 into the horizontal portions of the bayonet slots 19.
The shaft member 17, paddle 16 and cover 15 may then be lifted clear of the laundry tub and placedin any one of the other tubs desired and the 7 operating mechanism connected thereto as will hereinafter appear.
23 is a rectangular gear case provided at its upper end with an outwardly extending arm 23 provided with a cover 23. Having described theprincipal parts involved in my invention '1 will briefly describe theoperation ofthe same I 1 The washing paddle 16 is inserted in any oneof the tubs and the upper and lower members of the paddle shaft 17'and 17 connected by the sleeve 18. The circuitiof the driving motor 25 is then closed driving the motor shaft 26-and-by means of the worm 27 and worm gear 34 driving the vertical shaft 28.
