Heretofore,so far as I am aware, cartons of the above-designated character have been conw structed of more than one piece of material, or. if a single piece were used, it was not adapted to be folded to provide both display and supporting members. It has been considered necessary heretofore to provide special means to 2 secure adjacent edges together, such as by metal fasteners or by providing .slit portions in the side members and notched tabs or portions to fitinto such slit portions. My invention obviates such disadvantages and provides '30 a carton, preferably made of cardboard or similar material, which is very simple in its construction and which may be very easily- I assembled. It will also be noted that if it is desirable to ship the cartons alone, the construction is suchas to permit a great number being packed in a very small space.

For a better understanding of my invenflaps 2 extending in opposite directions. A plurality of side members 3 also extend from the bottom member 1, each of which is provided with relatively small flaps 1. A supplemental portion 14 extends from the side member 3 opposite the top member, and perforations 15 serve as a dividing line for the member. The supplemental portion 2 14 is provided'on either side with flaps 16,

A display carton comprising a body portion which serves as a container, a cover member for said body portion adapted to be bent to providea display member, and an integral member extending fromsaid body portion and connected thereto along a row of perforations, said last-named member being adapted to be wrapped around and sealed to the bottom of the container, whereby an inclined' suppo rt may be provided for the container when the parts are severed along the perforations and folded under the bottom of the container.
