This invention relates to advertising display devices and more particularly to display devices having a supporting frame and aplurality of display faces of unequal size; each 6 of which are so constructed to support one another at equal or unequal distances between them by means of supports cut from their center portions.

The objectof my invention is to produce a display device which can be readily shipped in a collapsed condition and which can be easily and quickly assembled for display purposes; said assembling causing a plurality of display faces of unequal sizes to be forced forward from one another to give the device depth and beauty.

Another object of my invention is to pro duce a display device, the various parts of which are rigidly held and prevented from 0 collapsing by a single means cut in the rear wall of the supporting frame.

A further object of my invention is to produce a display-device which will be attractive and appealing to the eye, and which will be inexpensive to manufacture.

\Vith these and other objects in view, to be more fully set forth hereinafter, the invention consists in the novel construction, combination of elements and arrangement of parts which will be exemplified in the operation and construction herein described in the following specification and illustrated in the accompanying drawings.

The invention will first be described in conneetion with the accompanying drawings,

wherein similar reference characters are used to designate corresponding parts throughout the several views, and more specifically defined and indicated in the appended claims.

Attention is directed to the drawings in which Fig. 1 is a front view of my .improveddlsplay device;

Referring to the various figures of the drawings, the numeral 1 indicates a collapsible supporting frame composed of the rear wall 2, the side walls 3 and 4, the bottom 1927. Serial No. 197,636.

edges of which are so cut to cause the device to lean backward to support the overhanging weight of the device, the flaps 5 and the lockmg tab 6 cut in the rear wall 2. The orifice 7 punched in the locking tab 6 is provided for the purpose of more readily pulling said tab out of the locking position when the device is. to be collapsed. Securely fastened to the flaps 5 is the display face 8 which has the supports 9 having the inwardly bent flaps .10 cut from its center portion. The display face 11 is securely fastened to the flaps 10 of the sup-' ports 9 and it in turn has the supports 12 havingthe inwardly bent flaps 13 cut from its center portion, upon which is securely fastened the front display face 14.

The locking tab 6 is so shaped to snugly fit between the walls 3 and 4 of the support and the innensurfaces of the supports 9 and 12 when it is bent inward as illustrated most clearly in Figures 2 and 3; thus rigidly holding all the parts in their respective positions irrespective of the flaps 5, 10 and 13 having been sufiiciently creased to cause their taking their proper positions. To unlock the tab 6, a finger or some instrument such as a pencil is inserted in the orifice 7 to pry it upward until it is flush with the surface of the rear wall as illustrated in Fig. 5. The supporting frame and the display faces can then be caused to come into contact with one another by means of a slight s ueezing pressure which is readily seen by 0 serving Fig. 6 which illustrates the device when nearing its full collapsed position, a view of which was not drawn because it would notbe clear and distinct upon reproduction and would only tend to complicate the drawings.

The number of the displa faces may be in creased or decreased to ohtain the proper advertising effectiveness of the device and their contours may be given any desired shape beside the circular form shown in the drawings to further beautify it. Should the number of display faces be increased, the width of the side walls 3 and 4 of the supporting frame 1 must be increased or the included angle between the display face 8 and the bottom end of the walls 3 and 4 must be decreased so that the overhanging weight can be balanced.

A display device consisting of a plural-' porting means including a member adapted to pass through said cut-out portions for engaging said device in rigid position'while on display.
