By separating the parts of the tabl either one or both maybe used as a console. This is effected by removing one'or both of the clamp screws 11', and when the end portions are separated either or bothmay be used asa console table as will be readily comprehended.

The leaves 15 and 16 may be hingedly connected in any determinate way. The

hinge shown comprises compleniental members and connecting links. Each of the hinge members includes a base 19, anda boss 20 in which are formed slots 21 for reception of the connecting links 22' The links 22 are of L-shape and. are pivotally connected the elbow, as indicated 2?. Each of the links comprises a short arm and a long arm and the links are oppositely disposed. The links are provided in. sets and are arranged to inter-leave. The short arms of the links are pivoted to the base portions 19, as indicated at as, whereas the long arms are connected by means of pins .25 the ends of which project and enter grooves 26 formed 1n the side walls of the slot 21. Having: thus described the invention, I claim:. I 1. 1. An extension table comprising similar parts adapted for independent use, each of the parts including a top, an'end and'side legs, a connecting bar between the side legs,

a centrally disposed fixed slide spaced from the top and forming connecting means betweenthe end leg and said side leg connecting bar,a removable slide connecting the parts; and engaging the .fixed slides thereof when 1 the table as a whole is assembled, a sectional leaf for each part of the table, and a link for each leaf pivotally connected to the removableslide and hav-' ing both pivotal and sliding engagement witha section of a leaf.
