My invention relates to a new and useful improvement in an artists kit andhas for its object the provision of a kit adapted forl use for artists, so arranged and-'constructed i 4,5 as to afford a maximum convenience and at the same time be durable Vand inexpensive to manufacture.
Another obj ect of the invention is the provisionV of a kit which will' serve to support in spaced relation various pieces of canvas, a

The invention comprises a box-like structure 7 having a cover 8 hingedly mounted thereon. Theside Walls 9 and 10of the boxlike structure areprovided with a plurality Vof grooves 11 ink whichmay engage strips of canvas `12 held in spaced relation. A wider groove 13 is formed inthe side walls 9 and 10 to accommodate the palette 14. The boxlife structure is made of sufficient size that" these strips 12 and the palette 14 will terminate with their upper edges well inwardly of theV upper edge of the box sothat a sepa-V ratel box-like structure 15 may be positioned interiorly of the box and rest upon ythe edges formed so as to receive the upper edgeiof the box-like struct-ure 15.
