Description

Dec. 28 1926. 1,611,877
R. LE IBLANG LAUNDRY BAG Filed Feb. 24, 1926 Rose 12 B/an inventor,
6 //arn Patented Dec. 28, 1926.
UNITED STATES ROSE LE BLANG, OF BROOKLYN, NEW YORK.
LAUNDRY BAG.
Application filed February 24, 1926. Serial No. 90,287.
My invention relates to bags for holding soile d clot-hes or other articles and has for its main object to provide a bag on which no means are necessary for closing the aper- 5 ture and in which the aperture is accessible when the bag is suspended, so that articles may readily be placed in or removed from the bag.
These and various other objects and ad- Hl 'antages will be readily understood from the following description and from the accompanying drawing of a preferred embodiment of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a top View, showing the bag as I it appears when not suspended.
Fig. 2 is a cross-sectional, side View of Fig. 1.
Fig. 3 is a side view of the suspended bag.
The bag is constructed of two cloth or other fabric discs 1 and 2. The disc 2 is provided with a slit 3, extending from its center to its edge. The two discs are joined all around their edges by being bound with the tape 41. The edges of the slit 3 are also bound with tape 5. Instead of binding the 25 edges with tape, they might be hemmed but the tape adds considerable strength to the bag. A loop 6, by means of which the bag is suspended, is secured in the center of the disc 2.
While only one slit is shown in the upper disc, two or more may be employed, like wise a hook may be substituted for the loop 6.
Having described my invention what I 35 claim as new and wish to protect by Letters Patent is:
In a laundry bag; two flexible fabric discs having the same diameter; one of said discs provided with a slit extending from 49 its center to its edge; said discs connected along their entire edges; and suspending means provided at the center of the said slit disc.
