When rit is desired to change the tool, the

Though I have shown andv described. a particular construction, combination and i arrangement of `parts and portions,` I do not Wish to be limited to this particular construction, combination and arrangement, but desire to include in the'scope of'inyv in- Vention, the construction, combination and arrangement substantially as set forth in the appended claims. f Y
Having thus described my invention, what I claim asv new and desire to secure by Letters Patent is.:

A device of the classY described, including a brace shank, atool, a cutout portion in said shank, `notched portions in said tool adapted to litin said cutout portions of said shank, and rigid and shift-able sleeve means non-rotatably mounted on said Vbrace shank andi sliiitable into noirrotatable enV gagementr `Withsaid tool for `rigidly securF ing said shank `tosaid tool.

Adevice of the classdeseribed, including a brace shank, a tool, a joint between said" tool and shank locked only against torsional and end movement of thetool in relation to the shank, a slidably mounted sleeve, said sleeve being adapted to slide over said joint and engage bothishankand tool, resilient means tending to hold said sleeve over said joint, a casing and guiding means rigidly secured` to' said shank, and connecting` means between said casing and sleeve member,
sleeve member in relation to the casing.

A: device of the class described, includ ing a brace shank, a tool, a dovetail joint between said 'tool and shank locked only against torsional and Vendmovenient,of the tool in relation to the shank, a slidably mounted sleeve, said sleeve being adapted to slider over said joint and engageboth brace shank and tool and prevent all movement of the tool in relation tothe shank, and a sleeve rigidly `secured to` said shank in which saidslidably mounted sleeve is re- `ciprocally mounted. i
