CANDLE.

This invention relates to improvements in compositions of matter and more particularly to a candle composition, eone object of the invention being to provide a candle which shall be composed of such intermixed ingredients that it will consume substantially as fast as it melts during burning and thus obviate dripping.
A further object is to provide a composi- 1 tion for a candle which shall be well adapted to contain perfume and eflectually emit the fumes thereof during the burning of the candle.
lVith these and other objects in view, the invention consists in certain intermixed ingredients for a candle as hereinafter set forth and pointed out in-t-he claim.
My improved composition comprises the following ingredients in the proportions substantially as specified:
V Per cent.
Oil of Wintergreen Kerosene 1 Aqua ammonia L 8 Glycerine l Banana oil 2 Paraflin 87 and with these ingredients asuitable perfume, such as any commercial cologne or I fragrant liquid extract in any desired proportion will preferably be incorporated. I-

otherwise formed into desired shape for use as candles.
1 have demonstrated that in actual use the candle will consume approximately as fast as the material melts and that a cup will form around the wick, which cup contains semi-melted material during the burning of the candle, but that melted material will not find its way to the exterior wall of the can-- 59 dle and therefore dripping will be obviated.
The glycerine aids in mixing the other inv I gredients smoothly with the parafline while the ammonia imparts hardness to the cool- 60 ing candle compound and the Wintergreen and banana oil tend to counteract the strong scent of the ammonia and kerosene, so that less cologne, if it be used, will be more satisfactory than would otherwise be the case.
, c Having fully described my fiivention What I claim as new and .desire to secure by Letters-Patent, is:
A candle composition consisting-of paraffine 87per cent and the product of an admixture of Wintergreen oil one per cent,-
kerosene one per cent, aqua ammonia eight per cent, glycerine one per cent and banana tially asspecified. is
In testimony whereof, I have signed this specification JOHN MORCZEWSKI.
