Fig. Fig; 3.
Figs. 5 and 6 are two sectional views taken on theline 55of Fig. hillustrating in the upper view the relative positions of the parts when the comb is in the inoperative position and illustrating in the lower view the relative positions of the parts when the comb is in the operative position.
4; is a sectionon the line 4-4. of
The toilet article'illustrated in the drawcess which is open on one longitudinal edge of the brush-back only. Extending from the bottom of this recess through the thickness of the brush-back to the opposite longitudinal edge of the same is a slot d which is smaller in both dimensions than the aforesaid recess. M
Located within the said recess is a metal lining e which, corresponds in allrespects to the interior shape and dimensionsof the ree nygnn ven srnncnn 'rrnnnor- :NEWYORK. Y. 1 1OILETTARTICLE*ZEOKEHAIRDEESSSING.

Cut'm the oppositeside walls of the frame are pairs of inclined slots 7:, the extremitles of which curl over as indicated in Fig- 4. Engaging in these pairs of slots are pins Z which are carried by and project from opposite sides of a comb mjwhich is adapted so as to be a sliding fit laterally within the lined recess in the brush-back. V
As a result of the above construction other mirror at is affixed within a recess on the upper face of the brush-back as will be clearly seen upon reference to Figs. 2 and 3.
of the drawings.
