IMPROVEMENT IN OMBINED TOOLS.

Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. l59,56l, dated February 9, 1875; application filed 1 November 11, 1874.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, ALPHONSO BUTTON, of the city of East Saginaw, county of Saginaw and State of Michigan, have invented new and useful Improvements in Combined Tool; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description of the con-. struction and operation of the same, reference being had to the. accompanying drawings in aking a part of this specification, and to the letters and figures of reference marked thereon. The object of my invention is to produce a neat and convenient household implement.

view showing the left side with nippers closed;

Fig. 3, a view showing the right side and the triangular slot as a tack-holderwith nippers closed; Fig. 4, a view showing the left side with nippers extended; Fig. 5, a perspective view, and Fig. 6 a view showing the upper side of the same.

A is the upper section of the implement, including one-half of the curved handle, with hammer-face, lower jaw of nippers, one-half of cylindrical wrench and dish lifter, nutcracker, and the triangular slot as tack-holder at the one end,and a sto ve-cover lifterwith tackclaw at the other. B is the lower section of the same, including the corresponding half of the handle, with hammer-claw, the upper jaw of nippers, the corresponding half of cylindrical dish-lifter, and nut-cracker at the one end, and the square wrench at the other; C,

the stove-cover lifter with tack-extractor; D,

the inner surface of the jaws of which may be 7 fluted or left smooth, as may seem best.

I make no claim to the combination of the several tools named in one implement as my invention, as I am aware that all or most of them have been heretofore included in one combination in various forms; but

What I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

The herein-described implement, consisting of the upper section, A, provided with the tack-claw G, hammer-face I, fluted lip E, nipper-jaw K, and triangular slot J, and the lower section, B, provided with the wrench D, hammer-claw H, fluted lip E, and nipper-jaw K, all the parts being combined to operate as shown, and for the purpose specified.
