IMPROVEMENT IN MOP-HOLDERS.
Specificationforming part of Letters Patent No. 143,633, dated October 14, 1873 application filed August 4,1873.
To all whom it may conccrn:
Be it known that I, ELoN. M. NARAMORE, of Underhill, in the county of Ghittenden and State of Vermont, have invented a new and Improved Mop-Holder, of which the following is a specification:

In the drawing, A.- represents the mop stick or handle; B, 'the lateral head-piece, which is suitably and firmly applied at the end of stick A. The frontpartA of pieceB is provided with a beveled edge, which is straight at the lower part for sliding along the floor, and concave at the upper side. The front part a has also recesses Zrat both sides, for the more complete fitting of the fore part of clamp O thereto. Pivots d are placed sidewise of piece B in the rear of front part a, by which clamp O swings when the mop is adjusted on piece 13. The clamp G is made 'of suitable wire, which is coiled around pivots d, its abutting fore part 6 between coiled springs 01 passing along the edge of front part a, and holding the mop tightly in the concave part of the same. On disconnecting the legs f from hooks g clamp C may be swung on pivots (1, so that the mop may be detached for cleaning/ Having thus described my invention, I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Pat ent In combination with handle A and inophead B the clamp O, which swings on pivots d of head B, and holds, by its spring action, the mop tightly thereon, substantially as and for the purpose described.
