An important object of the invention is to provide a device of this character which may be readily attached to a chair without in ,any manner altering the construction there- A further object of-the invention is to provide a device of this character which may be very cheaply and readily constructed and which is readily adjustable. I

In the present embodiment of my'inven-- tion I form the holder by employing a single strand of wire which is initially bent to form a compound semi-circular loop :10. The ends of the wire'at the central portion of-one of the branches of the loop are twisted together, as atll, and inclined downwardly and forwardly from theloop'10; At the bottom of this twisted portion, the purpose of which will hereinafter appear, thewires are diverged, as at 12, and bent back under the loop and under the-portion 11 forming a slide 13.
