HERMAN siicxs, or cin-esco, rumors,
To all 'wh om it 'may concern:
Be it known that I, HERMAN SACHS, ii citizen of the United States residing at Chicavo, in the county of Cook and Stute of Illinoi's, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Bloomers,of which the following is'a specification.
gether.
Heretoore in vthe manufacturing of bloomers it has been customary to shape the' gares forming the body and leg.r portions of the bloomer und p articuhirl y the gores foiming the seat portions by cutting away portions of the material. so that when the gores.
were sewed together the garment would conform to the body of the wearer. One objectA of, myinvention is to provide a method of manufacturing bloomers wherein gill cutting to shape is obviated and the rirai-ment is made by vi'orliing along straight lines both in the cutting and sewing of the 'farniente'.`
Another and. further objectl of my invention is the provision of bloornei's having a gusset or crotchxpiere inserted therein at the crotch `o" the liloorner during, und as a riait of the operation of sewing the `ai-meut together and thereby giving strength and elasticity to the garment at the crotch forming; an enlarged seat portion for said garinentund also hegving to the lilooiiier ii degree of elasticity -which is notl fou'nd in the oi'dinany hloon'iei', and aiiorrlini.,r the wein-er greater comfort thun heretofore possible with gin-ments of this ty Anot ier and further object of my invention is the provision of a liloonier which is sewed together hy stitching runnin;r in straigiht lines, thereby imiliinggit easy for lap' seams to he used throughout the manufi'ictui'e of the garment, undV doing away with -the rawbulky, 'anrlirritating; edges, common to garnichts which are sewer] wit ian ordinary single seam.
Anotherobject of my invention is the pronot a'ii extra operation, undA Specification of Letters Patent. Patel'lted AugJl-15, 1922,-

The second step inthe manufacture ofthe hloomer is illustrated in Fi re 2 which shows a second. gore -18 having an. up i' front free edge 19 and 'a edge 20, the gore 184bein folded backward upon itself with a vertcelyxtending 105V edge 21. The edge'19 of the gore 18 is lapped over the edge of st`tclin,f r 22 and 23 inserted therein which exteiid to the apex of the' crotch piece and thence long the side of the crotch piece that diverges. from the side already stitched, and
