Definitions
- This invention relates to a liquid coating for treating surfaces that have been painted in order to cause the paint to dry, and it may also be employed as' a filler or coating for iron pipe that has been smeared with tar to such an extent as to render the tar hard and capable of receiving a coat of paint or the like.
- the liquid is also of great utility in treating sticky wood or leather to condition it for receiving a coat of paint.
- a still further object of this invention is Patented Apr. 25, 1922.
- glue, alum and water are employed, the same being commingled and agitated until the alum 1 part, and boiling tected, and when applied to posts or pipes having tar pitch on them, the said tar pitch is hardened to a degree that willreceive' and hold paint.
- the herein described drier composition consisting of 1 part of alum; 4 parts of glue

Description
BENJAMIN IB. LEACI-I, OF HIGGINSVILLE, MISSOURI.
LIQUID COATING COMPOSITION.
No Drawing.
To all whom it may concern Beit known that I, BENJAMIN B. LEACH, a citizen of the United States of America, and resident of Higginsville, in the county of Lafayette and State of Missouri, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Liquid Coating Compositions, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to a liquid coating for treating surfaces that have been painted in order to cause the paint to dry, and it may also be employed as' a filler or coating for iron pipe that has been smeared with tar to such an extent as to render the tar hard and capable of receiving a coat of paint or the like.
The liquid is also of great utility in treating sticky wood or leather to condition it for receiving a coat of paint.
Specification of Letters Patent.
A still further object of this invention is Patented Apr. 25, 1922.
Application filed November 29, 1921. Serial No. 518,655.
In carrying the invention "into practice, glue, alum and water are employed, the same being commingled and agitated until the alum 1 part, and boiling tected, and when applied to posts or pipes having tar pitch on them, the said tar pitch is hardened to a degree that willreceive' and hold paint.
I claim:
and 16 parts of boiling water.
BENJAMIN B. LEACH.
, The herein described drier composition consisting of 1 part of alum; 4 parts of glue
