Be it known that I, AUGUST ,BnUoKna citizen of the United States, and a lresidentk A further object ris to provide a wrist watch case having removable bars, which bars may be inserted through permanently sewed loops at the ends of the strap or ribbon and easily attached' to the watch case, so that a ribbon or'strap may be attached to or detached from the wrist watch case without requiring that the sewing or stitching at the end or loop of the strap be severed wherein similar reference numerals desig or destroyed.
A further object is to accomplish the aforementioned endsin such manner that although the strap or ribbon may be readily attached to or disconnected from the watch case there willbe no danger or likelihood of the watch becoming accidentallykdetached from the strap or ribbon.
A further object is to provide a wrist watch case having removable bar hangers of simple design, one which may be readily and economically manufactured and of strong and rigidy construction throughout, and at the same time to provide a wrist watch case which is of simple and neat appearance and pleasing design.
Vith the foregoing and other objects in view, my invention consists in the improved wrist watch case illustrated in thev accompanying drawing and hereinafter described and claimed, and in such variations and modifications thereof as will be obvious to those skilled in the art to `which my invention relates, it being understood that changes maybe made within the scope of what is claimed without departing from thefspirit thereof. f
The preferred embodiment of my invention is disclosed in the accompanying draw- 1n g, wherein Figure 1 is a plan view of a wrist watch y case embodying the characteristic features ofgmy invention and illustrating a strap or ribbon secured thereto;

nate corresponding parts throughout, the wrist watch case 10 is provided upon opposite sides with the outstandingl arms 11 the action of spaced milling cutters so as to have formed therein the two spacedislots 15 extending entirely through vthe side walls of the tube and formingbetween said slots the strip 16. The strip 16m'is then subjected to an inwardly bending force so as to curve ror bend it inwardly as at 17 in Figure A and thereby partially restrict the portion 18-of the opening 20 which extends ythroughout the tube. p
The ends of the tubing are preferably chamfered or bevelled as yat 19, so as to aid in the passingV of the pin 13 through the opening 20, the latter being of such size as to snugly receive the pin therethrough.

In Figures 5 to l8 VI 'have illustrated a Vsomewhat 'modified form of my invention wherein the 'removable bar C is formed of an outer 'sleeve 2,5 and in 'the end of one end fof which is forcibly pressed a bushing 26, the two 'endsj27 thereof being suitfably bevelled so 'as to'` facilitate/the 'pas- :sage ofthe "pin 28 itherethrough.

The ends of the 'frictionfinember 28 are also chainfeied or b'evelled as at 311, so that 'after it has been forcibly Lpressed into 4position at the vone'e'Xtremity Yof the sleeve the steel pin 28 may ,be readily inserted through ythe one end thereof. With the reniovable 'bar C as thus constructed'and placed between the confronting surfaces 35 of the hanger arms 36, the "pin 28 is forcibly passed through spreading the resilient prongs 33 apart and Y thenA through the remote .bushing 26 and into Ithe aligned opening 37 of the "remote arms. The Vprongs 33 forcibly grip the side walls of the pin 28 and thus prevent it :from
being accidenta lly shaken or jarred from Va frame o'r support is desired.
