Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 135,983, dated February 18, 1873.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, JosEPH GEoMEN, of the city, county, and State of New York, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Rheumatic Ointment,-of which the following is aspecification: l
The object of this invention is to provide a remedy for rheumatism and kindred diseases; audit consists in a compound composed of the ingredientshereinafter'named. V
In carrying out my discovery I make use of the following substances, in about the proportions specified, viz.: I take of prunes, one pound oil of cedar, half an ounce; chloride of sodium, two ounces; sal niter, one ounce; These substances are thoroughly mixed together by" adding a suitable quantity of cold Water, and crushing or grinding them in a mill, or by other means combining them so that the salts named will permeate the whole mass.
Having been a great sufierer myself from rheumatism'I tried many compositions, popular remedies, with a view of obtaining relief, butwithout- 'efiect. I then'experimented in my own-way, and finally-discovered this remedy, which I found a specific.
