of Mercer and State of New Jersey, have` invented new and useful Improvements in Chalk-Holders, of which the following is a specification.

rlhe invention relates to cue chalkers, and more particularly to the class of extensible chalk holders.

The primary object of the invention is the provision of a chalk holder wherein the cube of chalk for chalking the tips of cues will be held in a clamp which is carried. upon a coiled extensible spring held within a case so that when it is desired to use the cube the spring will be extended from the case, and on the releasing ofthe cube the spring will automatically wind, thereby bringing' the cube out of the way of the player of game of pool or billiards.

Another object of the invention is the pro-V vision of a chalk holder which is extremely simple in construction, can be mounted at any convenient point so that the cube of.

chalk can be easily handled by the user, and when not in use will be held conveniently and out of the way of the player of a game of billiards or pool,

A further object of the invention isthe provision of al chalk holder which is ex tremely simple in construction, reliable and eiiicient in its purpose, and inexpensive in manufacture.

With these and yother objects in view, the

invention consists in the construction, combination and arrangement of parts as will be hereinafter fully described, illustrated inl the accompanying drawing, and pointed out in the claim hereunto appended.
