IMPROVEMENT IN TOlLET-BOTT-LES FOR TOOTH-POWDERS.

Specication forming,` part of Letters Patent No. 118,163, dated August 15, 1871.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, WARREN A. SPALDING, of IVaterbnry, in the county of New Haven and State of Connecticut, have invented a new and Improved Toilet-Bottle, of which the following is a specification:

My invention relates to the construction of bottles for tooth-powders or other substances that are to be used with a brush 5 and it consists in providingl the bottle with a funnel-shaped trough or spout around the orifice which shall be capable of receiving` a brush upon which the powder is to be placed for use, so that the required quantitbv shall be taken upon the brush without wast i115` any or soiling,` the person or dress of the user.

Figure l is a side View of my improved bottle. Fig. 2 is a vertical section. Fig. 3 is a top view.

The bottle A is made with a trough, B, upon its neel; and surrounding;` the oriiice C, through which the powder issues. I claim- As a new and improved article of uiannfactnre, a toilet-bottle constructed with a cup or cavity, B, for a brush, upon which the powder is distributed for use, substantially as and for the purposes set forth and speciiied.
