Description

H. A. KAEBER..
NEGKTIE HOLDER. APPLICATION FILED AUG. 9, 1911.
Patented Nov. 28, 1911.
pivoting and actuating such spring fingers.
-of lips, 4, stamped out from it to project NECKTIE-HOLDEB.
Specification of Letters Patent.
Patented Nov. 28, 1911.
Application filed August 9, 1911. Serial No. 643,148.
To all whom 'it may concern:
Be it known that I, HARRY A. KAEBER, a citizen of the United States, residing in the city and county of Philadelphia, State of Pennsylvania, have invented a new and useful Necktie-Holder, of which the following is a specification.
My invention consists of a necktie holder in which a number of neckties may be suspended.
It further consists of such a holder in which each tie is suspended between a pair of spring-levers.
Itfurther consists of improved means for It further consists of other novel features of construction, all as will be hereinafter fully set forth.
For the purpose of illustrating my invention, I have shown in the accompanying drawings one form thereof which is at present preferred by me, since the same has been found in practice to give satisfactory and reliable results, although it is to be understood that the various instrumentalities of which my. invention consists can be variously arranged and organized and that my invention is not limited to the precise arrangement and organization of these instrumentalities as herein shown and described.
Figure 1 represents a perspective view of my improved necktie holder.- Fig. 2 represents a longitudinal section of the same on the line m-'a: in Fig. 1. Fig. 3 represents a transverse section on the line y-y in Fig. 2. I
Similar numerals of reference indicate corresponding parts in the figures.
Referring to the drawings, the numeral- 1 indicates a base or frame stamped or other wise formed from sheetmetal to have flanges, 2, at its edges and perforated ears, 3, at its ends. The frame has parallel pairs horizontally outward, and pairs of flat levers, '5, having divergingly curved ends, 6,
have trunnions, 7, formed upon their edges,
nails through the perforated ears onto a wall or other surface, and the ties slipped through between the spring levers, by which the ties will thus be suspended and displayed.
The construction of the device is simple and inexpensive, and the springelevers will be guided in their movements by'the rod, which will also bear a part of the weight of the ties, thus relieving the trunnions,
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
1. In a necktie holder, a base or frame formed with a plurality of pairs of parallel lips, a pair of clamping levers pivoted between said lips and having openings in their innerarms, a rod secured in the frame and passing through saidopenings, and a spring coiled around said rod between the arms of ea'chpair of levers.
2. In a necktie holder, a base or frame having side and end flanges and having a plurality of parallel lips struck out and rectangularly bent from its body, pairs of flat levers having trunnions upon their edges pivoted in holes in said lips and having openlngs in their inner arms, a rod secured in the end-flanges and passing through said openings, and springs coiled around said rod and interposed between the inner arms of the levers.
