Tol all whom 'itfmay concern Be it known that I, Hanni TownsEND, of the city and county of Philadelphia, and State of Pennsylvania, have invented Improved Cheek-Pieces and Shroud- Yokes for Ships Masts; and I `do hereby declare the following to be a full and correct description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, in wllich- Figurel represents a mast-,head and trestle-tree with the improved cheek-piece and shrond-yokes bearing upon elastic packing, and attached to the `shrouds made fast to the trestletree, crois cast on the same when the trestle-tree is made of metal.

What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure `by Letters Patent, is
1. The combination ofthe metallic Ventilating cheek- -piece and bolster, as described, for the purpose set forth.
2. The shroud-yolge scribed.
3. The elastic packing, in combinatioulwith a me- A tallic cheek-piece or trestle-tree, for the purpose set forth.
