Be it known that I, WILLTAM CLow, -a citizen of the United States, residing at Inde pendence, in the :county vof Jackson and State of Missouri, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Autoplows, of which the followingI is a speciication. My invention relates to auto plowsand the present invention is a division from a parent application filed Mar. 2, 19,11, Serial Onefobjectof the invention is to provide a motor driven plow having two tractionwheels so located as to obtain the maximum weight thereon and travel upon the com-'- paratively rm subsoil at the bottom of the furrows turned by the plow.`
A further object is to 'provide novel mech- .aIlSm Ol' Steering one 0f the traction-wheels and adjusting the same vertically to control the depth of the plow-shares in the soil.

Figure 1 is a side elevation of a gang plow constructed in accordance with my invention, the motor being removed. Fig. 2 is a plan view vof my improved plow with a portion of the platform broken away and the motor removed. Fig. 3 is a rear elevaltion of the steering traction-wheel .and a sub` soiling appliance arranged in the rear of said traction wheel. As said mechanisms are fully set forth in the parent application, a detail description hereinl is deemed unnecessary.`
The mechanisms just referred to are not designed forholding the plowshares in in- 'termediate working positions; but means have been provided for that purpose, which shift the main frame 1 up and down at the forward end thereof. Referring morel particularly to Figs. 2 and 5, it will be seen that a yoke 10 is secured vertically tothe forward right side of the main frame 1. Connecting the ends of said yoke is a shaft 11 upon which is swiveled and slidablymounted an axle-block'12 carrying an axle 12, upon which the front traction-wheel 7 is mounted. Integral with the inner end of axle-block 12 is a forwardly-extending bracket 13. A .hand-lever 1,4 is operablysecured to the upper end of the yoke 10 bya pivot 15, and fulcrumed' at 16 upon a link 17 pivotally secured at its Alower end to a lug 18 projecting rearwardly from the axle block 12. Lever 14A is locked in any of its adjustedpositions by a notchedsector 19,

As the yoke 10 is secured to the main frame 1, it is apparent that when the. lever 14 is operated, it will raise or lower said yoke and saidframe, the shaft'- 11 sliding through the ias v 20 is a'block 22, vto which a hand-lever 23' provide with Itwo s et- wheels 28 and 29.
