A further object of this invention is to provide a simple, durable and inexpensive bracket that can be attached to a frame or other support for adjustably and pivotally holding an end of a curtain pole, the pole being constructed whereby curtains or draperies can be attached to the same without resorting to the use of rings or pins that mm a tendency to injure a curtain.

With the above and other objects in view the invention resides in the novel construction, combination and arrangement of parts to be hereinafter specifically described and then claimed.

outer end of the bracket has a vertical opening 12 to receive the tongue 13 of a supporting block 14. Pivotally connected to the block 14 by a screw 15 or other pivotal means is a horizontal rod'body 16 that is channel-shaped in cross section. Arranged within the rod body 16 is a-flat rod 17 and by placing a curtain in engagement with said rod and forcing the rod into the body 16 the curtain is firmly held relatively to the rod body. One or more curtains can be supported by the fiat rod 17 and when it is desired to clean the frame orsupport- 5 the rod body can be swung outwardly relatively to the frame to permit of easy access being had thereto.
