Definitions
- My invention relates to improvements in wood polishes, and the object of the invention is to devise a polish, which will be durable, comparatively cheap and most effectual in removing scratches or other blemishes on furniture and give the furniture a lasting and lustrous polish.
- My invention consists of the following ingredients in the proportions set forth viz: One half gallon of raw linseed oil, one half gallon of turpentine, four ounces of sulfuric ether, eight drains by liquid measure of ⁇ Va ter ammonia, eight drains of dragons blood. These proportions mixed together produce one imperial gallon. I merely state the proportions for a gallon, but it Will be understood that in larger quantities the proportion Will be the same.
- a polish as above described produces a durable Wearing surface that retains, and brings out the natural grain of the Wood. It is essential in my polish that raw linseed oil be used and not boiled linseed oil as my polish would not be effectual with the boiled linseed oil.
- a Wood polish comprising one-half gallon or thereabout of raw linseed oil, one-half gallon or thereabout of turpentine four ounces or thereabout of sulfuric ether, eight drains by liquid measure or thereabout of Water ammonia, eight drains or thereabout of dragons blood all mixed together as specified.

My invention relates to improvements in wood polishes, and the object of the invention is to devise a polish, which will be durable, comparatively cheap and most effectual in removing scratches or other blemishes on furniture and give the furniture a lasting and lustrous polish.
My invention consists of the following ingredients in the proportions set forth viz: One half gallon of raw linseed oil, one half gallon of turpentine, four ounces of sulfuric ether, eight drains by liquid measure of \Va ter ammonia, eight drains of dragons blood. These proportions mixed together produce one imperial gallon. I merely state the proportions for a gallon, but it Will be understood that in larger quantities the proportion Will be the same.
In practice I beat the oil and turpentine Specification of Letters Patent.

together and then add the sulfuric ether and then the ammonia and dragons blood crushed to a fine powder, and thorougl'ily mix. In using my polish it should be thoroughly shaken.
A polish as above described produces a durable Wearing surface that retains, and brings out the natural grain of the Wood. It is essential in my polish that raw linseed oil be used and not boiled linseed oil as my polish would not be effectual with the boiled linseed oil.
hat I claim as my invention is.
A Wood polish comprising one-half gallon or thereabout of raw linseed oil, one-half gallon or thereabout of turpentine four ounces or thereabout of sulfuric ether, eight drains by liquid measure or thereabout of Water ammonia, eight drains or thereabout of dragons blood all mixed together as specified.
