Abstract
The invention relates to mechanical engineering and can be used for dressing abrasive wheels by a free abrasive. A method of dressing abrasive wheel comprises feeding into a gap between the abrasive wheel and lapping of a free abrasive in the form of a brick consisting of a mixture of abrasive powder and binder. As a binder for manufacture of bricks a fine-grained building material is used that provides the tensile strength of a brick bar equal to 1.5-20 MPa. The method of dressing provides high limit cutting ability of the abrasive wheel, which improves processing performance while maintaining the quality of dressing and reduction of cost of a dressing tool.
