Abstract
A method for predicting fracture healing comprises clinical examination, radiography, detection of genetic polymorphism of MTHFR C677T, eNOS T 786 and measurement of CRP and pyridinoline concentration. The fracture healing may be predicted if heterozygous carrier status of 677-CT, homozygous carrier status of 786-TT is revealed and the level of CRP is 1.7-5.2 mg/l and that of pyridinoline is 4.5-6.5 ng/ml.
