Abstract

The invention relates to a method for storing yield of farm products, including treating thereof by gaseous 1-methylcyclopropene, and the further storage of the yield in usual or controlled atmosphere at lowered temperature. Before the treatment the content of endogenous ethylene is determined in the farm products, and the treatment is carried out by means of contacting the yield of the farm products with atmosphere, in which the maximum concentration of the 1-methylcyclopropene in the course of treatment exceeds the concentration of endogenous ethylene in the farm production prior to the treatment at least by 1.2-3 times. The method allows increasing storage life of the farm products.
